Can we get the ability to customize our member block? So we can have things like the JQBX tomato man in place of, say, member status

LOL, less tersely we discussed this a while ago and decided against it, aside from admins and mods.
Cool. But why? If admins and mods can (which confirms that it can be done), why not others?LOL, less tersely we discussed this a while ago and decided against it, aside from admins and mods.
All animals are equal, some are more equal than others.Cool. But why? If admins and mods can (which confirms that it can be done), why not others?
Yep, that's what I'm gathering. All animals are equal, some are more equal than others.
I think the previously offered rationale was that it’s just one more thing to moderate.
Just another way to keep the commoners at bay. There aren't that many people that would request this. Yes, there are hundreds of members here. But ACTIVE members? Far less. And then members that would want this? Even less.
Establish parameters and "rules". 1 request to have this done per year. Don't be a jerk. Etc.
So I'm still not seeing the issue.
I use the angry face in that regard. I think there’s a reason behind why Facebook did the same instead of a thumbs down. Decrease direct negativity and all that I guess.Any thought given to adding a for the responses?
Hmmm, I feel like the thumbs down button would in general be less negative than the anger emotion. A thumbs down would be more passive.I use the angry face in that regard. Yeah, thumbs down could be an I disagree with option, but of course that’s all up to interpretation. Who knows what would really happen when things got heated and people resort to bullying by way of emoticons.Hmmm, I feel like the thumbs down button would in general be less negative than the anger emotion. Would better convey the 'I don't like this' rather than 'This makes me angry'
*folsom_lives liked your post*how about we do away with all reactions because validation (or lackthereof) via emojis makes genuine conversation next to impossible. likes and dislikes are totally unnecessary and add nothing. if using your words is too much effort then you probably don't need to say anything.
In all seriousness though. I do appreciate the quick "liking" of a post rather than writing out some long-winded "I agree because of this..." thesis.
Can you imagine how many "hahahaha" or "LOL" comments there would be if we did away with the laughing emoji's?

Same goes for meme reactions
