Peter Frampton - Frampton Comes Alive!

"Exqueese me? Have I seen this one before? "Frampton Comes Alive"? Everybody in the world has Frampton Comes Alive. If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it. It came in the mail with samples of Tide."

I don’t know why, but this has always been one of my favorite lines from that movie

Got a bunch with no value since they've never sold.

The lowest LP comes in at an impressive $1.12. That's sad cause it's a really good record.

Motel Glory - a band from just down the road in Rock Hill, SC. They're friends with my friends Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires and often end up on the bill when LBIII&TGF swing through. If the alt-country-punk vibe is your thang, you can't spend a better $1.12.

Here are a couple takes on 'Muscle Memory' - one off the record and one live...

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts "I Love Rock-N-Roll" (1981 The Boardwalk Entertainment Co., original Canadian pressing)

If I omit all of the records that have never been sold and all of the 7", 12" and EPs, this is the LP with the lowest max value in my collection.

Oh, this could be fun! Let’s see... (checks Discogs)... OH NO, DO I HAVE TO?!

Where and why did I get this? I’m sure it was inherited by someone who was trying to unload their old records and I just accepted it all in bulk. At first I thought, “well at least maybe it’s got ‘Saturday Night’ on it?” but nope.

Side note: another band featured in a Mike Myers film!

After scrolling past the “never sold” LPs and a smattering of cassette tapes and 7” singles it looks like my cheapest “max” value Album is Ol’ Johnny Coog’s Scarecrow. I am pretty sure I picked it up a garage sale for $3 so the max $7 seems like a rip off. Though, it is a pretty fantastic album.

Alice in Wonderland

I didn't choose this topic knowing the answer so after wading past more than 100 never-sold African singles I found that a. I'd actually got rid of my least valuable albums and b. my very lowest max is actually Adem's single Ringing in my Ears, which I played on solo day. Coming in at £4.32 is this gem/oddity - one of my favourite books read by one of my favourite voices. Video is an excerpt he did for TV.

Day 5: Cheapkate

Y'all have way more restraint than me when it comes to diving into the dollar bins apparently. Amazingly enough, the Max price on this one was $2. Why is that amazing? Someone paid $1.29 more than that for the Captain & Tennille's Greatest Hits.
