Oh man, yeah fingers crossed. I will hopefully get a spare minute to listen to them at the weekend.
 
I thought the nightmare was over when i finally got this but then i opened it up to find a few scratches/scuff marks and both records being warped. I ordered on 10 November and they didn't ship until 6 December because they were waiting on stock from the record company. When i ordered i could only select FedEx but they shipped it with DHL, which takes a lot longer. Between 12 December and 17 December it scanned in 3 different towns in Germany, then nothing until 27 December when it scanned in a forth town saying it was reprocessed due to damage and the sender would be contacted shortly. I contacted the seller about it and they made a replacement order but they were (again) waiting on stock from the record company but i was assured it would ship with FedEx this time and i would get a email with tracking once it was dispatched. So of course it shows up out of the blue with DHL 😑 They're sending a replacement album at some point. On the plus side, i didn't have to pay customs.

The posters are hand numbered #713/1500.

Also got these from the Taschen sale which ended up being more expensive when i saw the Star Wars book was part of the sale.

Damn. Here’s hoping it’ll show up out of the blue, or if not you’ll be able to get that sorted out with Daptone. It’s a really good album, so you’ve got that to look forward to at least.

I’m sure Daptone will sort it out. I would rather just wait for it to show up if it will, because I know that Daptone is not what it once was (in terms of financial security)

i'm sure you know this already but fun fact Charles Wright was the uncle of Eric "Eazy-E" Wright West Coast Gangster Rap Pioneer and of N.W.A fame.the Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band song Express Yourself was sampled for the N.W.A song of the same title, iconic song and awesome way to pay homage to his fam.

It's been a minute, so he needs to remember part of the 2nd verse again. Then I'll record it.

He learned a Czarface song first, because it was my ringtone. He had me record it before he went to school last year and Esoteric reposted it. Then we met him at a Czarface art show in September and he said, "Ronin? Wait a minute... do you rap?" Ro got really shy, but wandered off later and, apparently, rapped it to Eso, while 7L recorded him on a cell phone.

This is over a year ago and he stumbles a bit, but here's that Czarface video



And the night he met ESO, 7L, and Lamour Supreme. Inspectah Deck doesn't show up for stuff like this, but One Be Lo from Binary Star happened to be there
