Big deliveries over the past few days, I have been looking for a good copy of my favorite Waylon record for a while and stumbled acrossed o local online record store/label that had a VG+/VG+ copy listed for $8 bucks! I grabbed that and while perusing their inventory came across The Rhino Stooges reissue, it seemed to be the reissue to grab if you were just looking for a good copy of the LP, I also grabbed Lonesome Shack a fantastic modern blues. Turnpike Troubadours is a great Country group (@Matt M RIYL Mike & The Moonpies) this is probably my favorite record of theirs and one that is somewhat hard to find but recently popped up on Discogs and jumped on that fast. The Strokes was thankfully the indie exclusive version and PUSA arrived today too. Lastly, Theon Cross was a PIF pick up from @Crabbers.

last thursday I went trough a yet unexplained spending spree, possibly COVID-restrictions related.

this is the first batch, delivered in surprisingly fast times!
Here Lies man completes my collection (they only released 3 albums, and this was the first one) Blu vinyl/limited to 300
Jesus Lizard - Goat is an additional piece to my collection. Not yet completed but I'm working on it.
The Books - Thought for Food - I love their weird world of sounds, and this also adds to the mini collection (I miss only Lost and Safe, while The Way Out I have on CD)

Might have an idea which could help you here. Try downloading the Google Translate app. It uses the camera function and translates text live (as in it will change the text it 'sees' through the camera). It works surprisingly well, although it does it word for word so some sentences might not make complete sense. Really useful if you are on holiday and are struggling with menus, street signs, etc.

Thanks! Will give it a try but I don't know if it I'll work well with Kanjis, Katakanas, Hiraganas, etc...
 
Some fresh grabs. Finally, my VMP package has arrived. This is what it used to be like back in the old days of VMP, I would always get my records weeks after the US folk. Its obviously been delayed because of COVID-19 so im not to fussed about the delay.

I have been after the Abdullah Sami since it was announced (I actually posted about how excited I was about it over on the Jazz thread when it was first announced) but it was just too expensive for me to justify buying it (around the £40 mark plus postage). I managed to 'win' this copy on ebay for half the average price so happy with this one!

Finally, picked up this stellar copy of Sonny Rollins on Impulse!. I was hesitant at first because it was suspiciously cheap. Its arrived and I cant see anything wrong with it, so this was a great buy!

Had an order that kept growing as I kept adding to it before it could be fulfilled to save on shipping but it finally shipped and arrived this morning. All immaculate, quite stunning honestly. Very happy!

When I've finished harassing @Joe Mac, @kvetcha and @Bsdmr2 I might be able to play them one day 😂🙌
