Got several boxes Sat & Monday but these are two of the highlights. Can’t say enough good things about Plaid Room’s packaging. Mingus was wrapped in bubble wrap inside a nice solid mailer.

And Petty was double boxed in heavy boxes one inside the other. Inside the inner box the actual 9lp Petty set was wrapped in bubble wrap and set into additional packing all around. Nicely done. đź‘Ť

Forget who originally told me about this acoustic sounds release in the JQBX
But I'm dinner-plating over here!! @folsom_lives
Welcome the 3rd different pressing to my collection. I think I even had another pressing at some point but I PIF'd. Will see if this will replace my current stereo copy.

Great record, I have been spinning this regularly since picking it up. I just ordered John Coltrane's Ballads as well (for ÂŁ20, which I thought was a bargain!!) so looking forward to that as well!

Finally received the 6 Mad About Records releases I was missing. Guilherme Coutinho and VĂtor Assis Brasil are unnumbered represses but all the others are first numbered press. It took him five years since In Extremis but Francis Cabrel is finally back with a new album. @bfly I read one of your recent posts mentioning his name, I don't know if you know but he released this new album last Friday. Finally there are three records I received as a gift from A Treineira label (from who I ordered MAR releases).

Well, finally dipped my toes into the Analogue Productions, and a few others showed up yesterday. I'd say I don't know where you start with this great pile, but that Beach Boys I've been dying to hear!

Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters

John Lee Hooker - It Serve You Right To Suffer

Sonny Rollins - Freedom Suite

Bloody hell. Where did you see Ballads for that price?
I got lucky on an eBay purchase. I bought Ballads and the new Horace Silver Tone Poet for ÂŁ20 plus combined postage at ÂŁ4. Seller messaged me to say he has opened and played them once, then we started chatting about the quality and how he's glad there's a MM competitor now etc haha.

Quin Kirchner - The Shadows and the Light
Ayalew Mesfin - Good Aderegechegn & Che Belew

Very excited about these. Quin Kirchner is in the running for my album of the year and I've been waiting pretty much six months for this, all the while trying (and mostly succeeding) not to stream it. It really is fabulous new jazz. And I really wanted the Ayalew Mesfin box but couldn't find a way to get it without being stung by customs fees so I'm picking up the five albums individually.
