Fresh Grabs

Thanks for the feedback! I have most of the Pink Floyd remasters and am very satisfied with those. So if the Zeppelin reissues are on par... I’m sold.
Good selection with the Target Buy-2-Get-1-Free sale. Looks like some of these are Rhino 2014 remasters on 180g vinyl, with some deluxe edition options as well (based on UPC's).

The Who - A Quick Live One! Captured Live at The Monterey International Pop Festival

So I must’ve not looked over the RSD list well enough, because up until someone else posted this record in this thread a couple of weeks ago, I had no idea it even existed. Thankfully I was able to snag one on Discogs before they got too expensive!

Some recent arrivals, which I'm noticing now are quite heavily weighted towards female artists. :)

Joannah Warren - Gemini I & II
Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell!
Tony Kofi - Another Kind of Soul
Taylor Swift - Speak Now
The Japanese House - Chewing Cotton Wool EP
Joni Mitchell - Live at Canterbury House 1967 (3LP)
Porridge Radio - Rice, Pasta and Other Fillers
Clairo - Immunity
Joni Mitchell - Early Joni 1963
(I've listened to this one and apart from some audible tape hiss on the first track, I'm surprised by how good it sounds.)

A few deliveries the last few days!

Secretly Society grabs. I have to say, these all sound pretty fantastic. The Secretly presses have been beautiful, and sounding much better lately.
Cut Worms - Nobody Lives Here Anymore
Kevin Morby - Sundowner
Richard Swift - Even Your Dreams Will Die

One of my favorite Power Pop releases of the last few years. Fantastic Beatle-y moments from the former Merrymaker.
David Myhr - Soundshine

Yep Roc had this 4 pack of Apples records for a decent price and Tina'd. Have loved this band for a long time, good to get some Elephant 6 in the collection. Such an upbeat band, always puts a smile on my face.

The Apples In Stereo -

Her Wallpaper Reverie
A Discovery Of A World Inside The Moone
Tone Soul Evolution
Velocity Of Sound

Grabbed the Zavvi 10 LP Jazz starter pack. Spun a couple before cleaning, and they sound fantastic! Really great deal for $60.

Was looking for this one for a while, one of the best of 2020.

Love The Apples! Definitely power-pop feel-good at its finest.

I believe these came in before the last set of records I posted a few days ago but I've ordered too much stuff lately and can't keep track anymore.. anyway here's the latest batch of boxes I've opened.

Finally got this AAA Tony Allen record as Amazon had it on a really good price. It bugs me that they take pride in listing it as AAA on the over but the records are in plain paper sleeves.

Mushi & Lakansyel - Koté Out is one of those crate digger rarities that got repressed a couple years back. It can be had for really cheap on discogs at the moment. Lovely jazzy folk music from Haïti.

Fontaines DC. Pretty sure this makes my top 10 albums of the year. Absolutely love the sound! I wouldn't have heard about it if it wasn't mentioned on a Man United podcast I listen to. Recommended by the DJ from Rochdale FC!

Snagged this Donald Byrd album blind before it goes out of print. I'm sure I'll like it.

Man! That I haven't known about David Myhr until now! I'm a big fan of Swedish guitar pop and try and follow it quite closely, but this one I completely missed. Duly ordered both his albums just now! It does remind me a bit about Norwegian band Pogo Pops latest albums and their front man Frank Hammersland's work as well. Pristine and melodic sunshine pop!

Congrats on the Apples albums too. I have "Discovery..." and it sounds great!

I recently picked up that Tony Allen and its just fantastic! Fontaine's D.C is one that I have lined up to play as well!

Sault - Untitled (Rise)
Ayalew Mesfin - Tewedije Limut

So excited for the Sault. Just amazing the quality they're putting out and pretty sure they're going to have two albums in my top 10 for this year (as will Gillian Welch). Pure 🔥
And the third of my make-your-own Ayalew Mesfin boxset, all of them having been excellent so far.
