Fresh Grabs

Part III of 4 of my "I'm bored let's make things less boring" impulse buys.

Bowie "The Man Who Sold The World" 1978 JP pressing, still in shrink which was a surprise.

I always laugh a bit when I read on discogs "In original shrink". So the person was too cheap to buy an outer sleeve and instead left it in some tight shrink for 20yrs?

There are lots of collectors, some of whom are in our midst, that don’t like to ruin the originality by taking off the shrink, they just make a slit in the open end to take out the records. They’ve never seen the inside of any of their gatefolds. They do often still put them inside an outer sleeve. It blows my mind.

Psa, this is not good for the covers or records

I'm trying to decide if I remove the shrink on this one. Generally I always do however the one thing that this has going for it is it's got that top obi and those things are pretty annoying in terms of staying in place and the shrink nicely holds it in place.

Prolly still gunna rip it off doe
You know, sleeves are square so the obi will fit on the side. No one can see it when it is filled away
