Pick up’s from Singapore, all from a place called Hear Records. Had to be a bit restrained, as there was a lot of good stuff. Electric Wizard is one I’ve been after for a while, and the others are great grabs.

Don Shinn – "Don Shinn... Takes A Trip" (Columbia, 1969 First French Pressing)
Basil Kirchin - Worlds Within Worlds (Island Records, 1974 First Pressing)
Tommy Whittle Quintet - Lullaby And Rhythm (Esquire, 1956 First 10" Pressing)
Some killer British jazz albums! The Don Shinn is the rare French pressing of the killer psyc-jazz album (titled "Temples With Prophets" in the UK). Although it has the same title as his earlier (and insanely rare) album, the "Worlds Within Worlds" is actually a different album that continues the themes of the first. Finally, a super tricky to find and super clean Tommy Whittle 10" of Esquire!

Ambrose Akinmusire - Owl Song (Nonesuch, 2023 First Pressing)
The Yussef Dayes Experience - Live At Joshua Tree (Brownswood, 2023 Limited Pressing)
I haven't had a 'haul' of contemporary releases in one package for a while, and these seem to offer a decent range and were all really cheap. Im intrigued by the Acoustic Sounds pressing of Diana Krall's "The Look Of Love" but supposedly a couple of tracks on the 2nd disc have strange noises which caused them to be repressed, so will need to look out for that.
Ahmed Abdul-Malik - The Eastern Moods Of Ahmed Abdul-Malik (Prestige, 2024 Vinyl Me Please Classics Pressing)
Just like that, my 8 years with Vinyl Me Please comes to an abrupt end. Actually, I'm pretty sure they weren't supposed to send this over because the international subs ended last month, but typical VMP messed up again (in my favour this time). Im glad I was able to get this as its been on my want list for years!
