Heathens - The DBT Thread

Anyone seen them on this tour or heard anything? I kinda wonder if tickets might not be selling. They just relocated the show I’m seeing later this month to a venue half the size of the original.

I haven't. I think concert tickets sales are really really down outside a few big artists. Seeing them in November at the Ryman but they haven't sold it out to my knowledge. Even Isbell's residency isn't sold out this year. People will have more money for concerts once dipshit wins again and fixes everything day one.

The SRO show I saw in June was prob 1/2 full? But they were booking a larger venue then they usually play here as well, probably because it was a LiveNation/Ticketmaster tour that bypassed the smaller clubs.

Since there's no Isbell thread and I dont feel like starting one.

Lets say I wanted to combine Live from Alabama with both Ryman albums into one long 6xLP live album. What order of discs would you do?

Never a bad choice! I'm thinking something that feels more like what the setlist would be at if you were at a show

I'd likely go chronological. Or if you were wanting to create an epic contemporary show feel I'd go Vol. 2 > Alabama > Vol. 1

Feel like they'd open with the fresher stuff, then go blast to the past and come back to more contemporary.

If you're gonna get really crazy and shuffle discs or sides, I'll need more time

Yeah I'm thinking shuffle discs. Right now without looking too deep A's B'a C's etc looks solid but also ending with A of Alabama looks like it could work for as an "encore" section

SET > Vol. 2, side A > Vol. 1, side A > Alabama, side A > Alabama, side B> Vol. 2, side B > Vol. 2, side C > Alabama, side C > Vol. 1, side B > Vol. 2, side D > Vol. 1, side C

ENCORE 1 > Vol. 1, side D

ENCORE 2 > Alabama, side D

That one's still pretty linear, I'm sure I could come up with an even tighter set if I don't keep the discs themselves in their "proper" order, but that would take longer than I have at the moment. (But I could see myself getting to it tonight after the kiddo's in bed and I've had a gummy or two!)
