What REALLY sucks is, after watching the documentary last night, and hearing the 4 singles, plus the names still featured that we haven't heard yet.........makes this TOUGH to pass up on.

I hear ya on the expensive vinyl, and I really have to pick and choose the projects I buy, but Butcher and Payne was a must have for me.

I have Leatherface and Plugs I Met coming and that’s probably it for a while unless I really like Flygod

Yeah but it's the same problem as any sub grows. There are go-to items for newcomers so they tend to buy the same records. I mean, if the sub was around in the 90s, it would all be Illmatic, Dah Shinin', etc, etc..

People also tend to upvote the stuff they're most familiar with so there are people who post raer stuff but it doesn't get nearly the upvotes or attention that something like a Kanye collection would.

I hear ya.. I skipped both just cause I don't think they're worth what they were charging for it. But I ain't hating on people who cop it either.. not like Mach Hommy at least.

Should pin your top list u posted in there and teach a few people lol

But its good seeing what is popular cause I often live in my own world. Alot of projects I kinda went meh but after seeing it posted in there 100 times I go back and give it another shot lol

I also learned people in that sub really love bootlegs.

90% of people are probably going to buy what is most easily accessible, well known, and/or generally accepted by critics. So whatever is being promoted by whomever they're paying attention to. Plus most people don't care about history today and they're not going to drop the $ on older stuff that hasn't been repressed

It's rare that anyone has an opinion that is their own.

I will say the people here are much better about that on average.
There's a good mix of tastes

Nah, I ain't about pushing what I like on others. Hell, I've learned about a shit tonne of releases just cause of that sub so I'm happy to see everyone's contributions. I used to do thorough posts with like a history of the record and why i thought it was important but they mostly didn't get a whole lot of attention so i cut down on them. trying to get back to it soon though. want to do a mega-gxfr-mach-hommy post soon.
