Damn, didn’t know how sought after Stillness in Wonderland is. It was actually my first VMP exclusive ever.

I remember it sitting on Discogs for around $35 for the longest.

Biggest bummer is that it doesn’t include “Good for What,” which is my favorite song of hers. Seems to only be available on the digital Deluxe version.

Jaguar on Palisades finally showed up on discogs... some douche posting it up at $190, FOH. I hate people in this scene. I get prices being high for records that are even a year old (that's still a streeeeetch) but this shit is just showing up on doorsteps... awh well, I enjoy shooting low offers to these tools.

Y-it's gross. I'm sorry I wasn't thinking to grab you one when they went on sale. I struggle with it to. It feels very very wrong. I don't blame artists for selling expensive records. I don't blame people for trying to get as much $ as possible in a system that teaches them, encourages them, and requires them to do so, but buying art for the sole purpose of profiteering off of that art is fucking garbage, especially when we're talking about some real fucking small ends here. Even if you make $1000 off of a record what does that get you. Not even a month's rent. So people buy something for $50, $100 or whatever and try to make $50 or $100 or $200 on it. I mean it isn't nothing, but I doubt most of the people putting the energy into doubling their money need that $50 or $100 that bad. It's like buying a 1/4, selling it in nicks, just so you can smoke for free... that's some high-school shit.

There are some really solid people in this too and some of them are here. You're one of them. I'm glad people here are actively trying to look out for each other, grab an extra copy when we can so that others don't have to pay flippers.

Noticed you caught my post pre-edit, haha. Didn't change much but you hit the nail on the head. I've never understood the flipping mindset (be it shoes prior to this or whatever) and as you said, is it really worth doubling your money if you are lucky? It's whatever, the normal response I see from these people is "sorry you're poor and slow". No place in this community imo, but they are everywhere anymore. I also think it's awesome how some of us here actively do try and help each other out with these if possible. Appreciate the thought out response.

Now... if anyone here did grab Jaguar and ends up not enjoying it as much as they thought, I'll do the same with something in my collection for a trade. Splatter copy of Benny the Butcher - A Friend of Ours (not looking to sale), that offer is on the table.

@Enaz Fox is the best! he's definitely helped me out on more than one occasion!

well, I guess we know why all these GXFR vinyl releases sell out so quick, looks like WSG had half the stock all by himself and now they ded 🤦‍♂️

Geeeeez water damage is one of my biggest vinyl fears. Lot of people in the comments saying they have character now, which is a positive way of looking at it. Idk if I would buy a record that sat in water for several days though

I don't mind buying water damaged records if I can get a great deal on them, unless they are all mildewy. The worst that happens other than that is some warping of the cardboard paper or sometimes the wet part of picture will actually peel off.

Vinyl should clean up fine even if it gets a little mildew, but nobody wants a stinky mildew jacket.

While I'm a lover of the nice big cardboard artwork that vinyl affords, a lot of those Griselda records I'd still take at a decent price even if I had to toss the outer sleeve altogether as long as the vinyl is OK

Yeah, good point, with the right price, jacket is optional if the vinyl is in good shape.
