I know @Melt Face Molly Drop missed out. was there someone else who wanted it? I think @Enaz Fox is an Earl collector, so I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen him comment on whether or not he got it.

let me know if we should do a random... or has the rush subsided and the idea of a $35 7" seem like a bad idea.. ha ha

Lol blew money on another pre-order last night, forgot I was gonna try to get the new clipping. for Bandcamp Friday. Wouldn't be surprised if that loser edition doesn't last the day, especially with them sending out an email about it. Why'd they have to release this so close to RSD? 🙁

not only the that, but I get the impression that those working bots would be crafty enough to circumvent a banning from Alchemist. I feel like in a way this hurts the average fan more

I do, too. I've just seen this shit too much. People have bots rigged specifically to have like 100 different accounts all pull one copy. I've seen screenshots of it. At least ALC is trying to address it, but they may have overcorrected.

I got the impression he meant after the sale they would check, so it seems like they could just check addresses, right? I think to buy 100, you would have to have 100 separate addresses, right? Or maybe billing info.

100 is an extreme example but there’s ways and means of easily getting around most of this stuff. If it still happens with shoes to this day with every company and shop doing raffles and implementing anti-bot measures all the vinyl retailers are way behind on this

Agreed 2 would be better than 1. Also 1k instead of 500.
1k does seem like a good number. It has to be tough for artists though, fans/collectors are fickle and buy rarity. When there's more available there's less excitement or frenzy to secure a copy it seems. I'm sure pressing records isn't cheap and artists don't want to warehouse leftover stock.
