A$AP Ferg song
Goodie Mob ft Chuck D
Does the alch vinyl go live tonight? do uno what time?
Yes. The shipments of those were coming in a couple of waves, so I'm waiting until I have all of the copies before I post it on the site. Our system sends out emails/texts for everyone on the list for that item, so I want to make sure I have as many copies as possible before I upload it to the site. I think I'm getting somewhere between 20-30.
All Praises would be such a good song that he absolutely ruins by singingI still do not like Westsides singing.
I've actually saw others say the opposite that first half bangs second half meh. Personally I think the whole thing slaps im lovin it. I havent got to YG yet. Kinda got bored with Westside Gunn and went back to SMII i will listen to WG again just didn't grab me first listenWasn't too sold on Savage Mode 2 from the first 5 tunes but the last 2/3 of the project absolutely slaps, a great sequel to the first project that really highlights 21's way more varied flow and Metro Boomin's weirder/cloudier production style that's been developed since the first release
I was less impressed than I hoped. I was really tired while listening last night so I'm definitely going to try again. There were a few joints that were really good, as always, though. I still love that song with Jadakiss.New DZA album is dope. Glad I grabbed a vinyl for sure! Bout to jump into the WSG

I dont wanna commit to saying WSG is mid just yet myself I know I didnt give it the proper chance it deserves, I've also been guilty of loving these type of albums eventually if not initially. I was driving from Dublin to Mullingar. Put it on got almost through it was really bored and just craved another SMII listen but WSG is my least favourite of Himself Conway & Benny. P4P was excellent though
Project is great as a whole for sure though!
Agree with everyone else that the WSG was kinda mid, the big posse cut had an... unfortunate beat, his singing is still not good, was cool to hear Slick Rick & Busta on there though. I think I could probably do with a break from WSG, he had a great run from 2018 to recently (Blientele to P4P is a great stretch of projects only matched by some of the really strong 2015/16 stuff) but these last two projects are not it for me
Hello, all. Uncle Sage here coming to you live from the SFR pandemic HQ.
"Slumlord of the Slumlords" was produced by Buck 65 and originally released on limited 7" vinyl for 2017's Record Store Day. This is one of very few songs that haven't made their way into the digital world until now.
All of my tours have been canceled due to the pandemic, and that's always been my main source of income, so we're using this digital single as a fundraiser. If you have the means to help out and you want to, the option is there! Otherwise, no worries. I know a lot of us are facing financial uncertainty (if not total uncertainty.)
It will also help in my transition from being a road warrior to a home warrior, which is long overdue. Before the end of 2021 I intend on completing the album I've been working on for the past few years and release another mixtape (or a boxset of all the mixtapes and unreleased songs.) Perhaps with more time at home I'll be able to put together a book or two, and finally dip my toes into my own podcast if I can manage to set myself apart from the sea of talky-talks. People have suggested I do a Patreon, and that's a possibility, but first I'd like to make sense of the mountain of audio and video files that have accumulated in my studio over the past two decades.
There's a lot more that I'd like to explain, and I will at some point. I know I've been slow with solo album releases and the fans have been more than patient (but check out the Epic Beard Men material if you haven't already!)
For now, just know that Strange Famous Records intends on staying active as a label, I intend on staying active as an artist, and though the uncertainty of the future is daunting we are absolutely built for these strange times.
Thank you for all the support you've given over the years. Please stay safe.

I saw Sage live once. The show was with El-P and I forget the 3rd act ca. 2001. Sage was easily the highlight of the show.
I really feel like hip-hop has been in some new golden age the past few years that reminds me of that late 90's earliest 2K years.
First listen of the Alchemist - dig it, but not dropping a $100 on the book and vinyl.
WMTS: enjoyed it but nothing too exciting on first listen... the other criticisms I agree with
The Sa-Roc album is really good
ive seen him a couple of times. he lives for that stage ! ill probably pick up some merch from his site later or so.
only seen EL-P during the FanDam show and he came across like an asshole. he was young then and touring is stressfull i get that. his show was super short too. love the record and defjux is super important to me.
spinning the Apollo Brown and Che Noir album right now and enjoy this a lot !!
