Yeah, I think it might have accidentally of gone live early and they were like “fuck it” after it happened! Seems like it went live due to the time being 12:01am, 16th October in one state in the U.S.!
 
Part of me wishes I could jump on the Griselda train, but it's just not for me. I gave this Burden of Proof album a chance on Spotify and quickly realized it's just not something I gravitate to. I respect the hustle of these guys and acknowledge the talent on display but it just doesn't do much for me personally 😕

I think it’s because their music is more traditional and Griselda is very hip-hop if you know what I mean. They don’t have that alternative edge that BROCKHAMPTON, MF DOOM, Denzel Curry, JPEGMAFIA, Vince Staples, Danny Brown and Tyler The Creator have if you know what I mean. Like I’m sure you’d even like both of the albums Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s released as it has that alternative flavour even though it’s very hip-hop.

What are your favourite hip-hop albums from the 90’s?

If I was to imagine what kind of hip-hop 100 Gecs, SOPHIE, Radiohead, Stella Donnelly, Clarence Clarity and Charli XCX fans like for example, JPEGMAFIA, Run The Jewels. Rico Nasty, Kevin Abstract, Childish Gambino etc come to mind, not Griselda.

Anyone can like any music of course, which is definitely you Gap (you’re variety of taste is really wide). But I am definitely not surprised you can’t gravitate to Griselda. I’d imagine you would find most of their music pretty boring!

I know! Shipping was so expensive, ey! I actually purchased two copies because shipping still remained the same (like it was still USD$30 shipping with two copies in your cart)! So I’m gonna have an extra copy to sell for a bit more (maybe like AUD$60 + AUD$15 shipping) so then I break even, meaning I make an extra USD$18-$20 overall. This means shipping only costed me USD$10 for this release, making it well worth it! 🙌😂

For what it's worth the standard black should be widely available considering Empire are dropping it and I agree with @Believer101 in that I wouldn't be surprised if other variants pop up somewhere... more salty about missing the al.divino Rappcats release if I'm 100% honest cause there's no way of getting that project on vinyl now it seems
 
it is what it is. i just couldnt justify it on a release im not all in on. thats another record just for shipping a record half way around the earth.
im also aware that US customers have to pay shipping like this from europe on a regular basis.
shipping isnt the main reason i skipped this though.

Actually I’m just going to sell my copy for AUD$90 + free shipping on eBay so it means overall, I got free shipping for my own copy! (AUD$15 to pay for Express shipping within Australia). I’m flipping, but it’s not ridiculous like what one of my local does! Remember my local had a copy of Pray For Paris for AUD$599 and it sold! Like they put it up on their Instagram and it someone purchased it! So AUD$90 + free shipping isn’t too bad/greedy I don’t feel. Honestly just trying to cover that big international shipping fee! 🙈🙈🙈

Yeah, I also think more variants will drop and that the standard black will be available for a long time! Hopefully they pressed a lot of standard copies!

Also, I want Westside Gunn’s Pray For Paris to get a repress! Wish I never missed out on that one! It’s so expensive on Discogs right now...

Yeah if people here missed out don’t be a dick and admit your flipping an extra just to do it. I’m all for holding onto stuff and if they appreciate in value selling for what they are worth but I’ve never liked the thought process of a modern flipper.

@Cloud @Tillman i should have grabbed an extra this time and didn’t because I figured this would stick around until at least this morning. Hoping we get a second variant for you guys.

Yeah, I agree! I hate modern flippers too, it’s actually the worst! Like I hate concert flippers so much as well!

Also hope we get more variants of this album too! 🤞
