Hot Take/ Musical Confession Thread!

Esthero had the best voice in trip-hop.

The 80s was a very disappointing time for music. Like season 2 of the wire, not bad but not great either. But important buildup for the following seasons.

The Avalanches are a hip-hop group. Plunderphonics is a dumb term nobody used until the internet became common place.

Len are way more culturally relevant than the Spice Girls.

I was challenging you to put your money where your mouth is 😜

It's not my job to maximize an album's potential for artists, but if Radiohead had any self-respect they would announce to the world that they goofed and everyone should listen to OK Computer without Climbing Up The Walls now, and apologize that Fitter Happier is just as annoying as the French guy on Blonde but worse because Frank had the decency to put it at the end.

Oh, I love this kind of threads because i can say all my unpopular opinions and get roasted!

-Yoko Ono's discography is better than the discography of any Beatle.

YESSSSS

Also are you including “White Chalk” in your crap pile? It’s in my top 3 albums by her.

I don’t think what she’s doing now is crap. If it were a bad or mediocre artist, it would be their best work. But the last two albums are at the bottom of my list.

Climbing up the Walls is a highlight on OK Computer!
Also, Airbag or Electioneering are the 2 weakest tracks. They’re not bad at all. They’re just the worst on that album.

My least favourite current recording artist. I just don’t get it on any level, he just comes across as a tool and his music isn’t interesting...
Isn't that supposed to be his character or something? Like he's trying to play some dude that's a tool. I don't know, it doesn't really make sense to me. I thought he's had some clever lyrics but I always seem to zone out and get bored.

😲😲😲

Climbing up the walls is one of my favourite songs on that album, it’s a claustrophobic masterpiece!

I mean I don’t care whether he’s playing a tool or is a tool, I don’t want to listen to bad music played by a tool playing up to that persona!
