Yeah curious about your opinion @Woob_woob and others. they’re one of my all time favourites so I might just see most of the stuff they do through rose coloured glasses

I think terrible might be a bit of an overstatement but they're just so generic. Nothing about them stands out. I've heard a bunch of their songs but I couldn't tell you the name of one, let alone the melody of any of them. They're fluff.

Try as a might, I just can't get into the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen but I think I would like to. What am I doing wrong? I mean I like Sympathy For The Devil, Gimme Shelter, and You Can't Always Get What You Want but the rest just isn't approachable for me. And Bruce, maybe Born In The USA and Dancing In The Dark painted him badly in my eyes as a youth.

Yes, this. I am constantly baffled at how over rated they both are.

All of it? There isnt a single redeeming quality imo. They were terrible live and there are at least a dozen bands that do what they do but better

Pure Conedy is probably my least favorite (partially due to its overall length) but my own hot take is that his first album Fear Fun is still his best.

It's like I was gonna say that TV On The Radio are by far the best band to appear out of all those 00 bands but I don't think that's a hot take either.

Beastie Boys rule and are extremely important, but there are a bunch of rap groups I'd take before them.

Most rap music made before the 90’s, although clearly groundbreaking and influential, is so boring to listen to now.

This thread is hilarious. Also, I am taking all of the Radiohead and Thom Yorke hot takes 100% personally, and you're all out of my will.

Nirvana had some iconic, seminal hits, however Kurt Cobain's suicide artificially catapulted the band into the upper echelons of grunge history that is otherwise undeserved and overall, their music is not that impressive.

I love the Arctic Monkeys debut, but they got progressively worse after it as they eventually turned into generic arena rock. They did pave the way for such outstanding albums like Jet's Shine On to come out of the international rock scene.
