You've got it, it's cued up. I'm fairly certain this is my first time hearing TKOL. Honestly right now I like it more than Hail. Anyone know what the best pressing of TKOL is?
Alright just finished... They definitely flow, as expected really when it's Radiohead followed by an album from the lead singer of Radiohead. To me the big difference between the two is that TKOL has guitar on several tracks and TMB has no guitar on any tracks that I could tell. So I guess it's possible that they could have been a double album but if so he used all the guitar tracks on one and not the other. Not much of a breakdown I know, but the guitar was what kinda drew me too TKOL. I'm a little tired of the Radiohead formula of Thom moaning over various ethereal electronic bleeps and bloops. It was nice to hear some guitar in there. If it's really your first time hearing TKOL, you should listen to Thom's solo album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes soon after. I have a crackpot theory TKOL and TMB are secretly a double album and I would be interested in an outside perspective

Keep your eyes peeled seems like a lot of Radiohead repressed have stated popping up recently.Agreed, I really do need that one on vinyl. Have to wait for the repress though... Seems to have vanished.
Yeah I saw it listed as awaiting repress somewhere, so it'll definitely pop up again. Question is, will the pressing be any good. If you follow the trends of the past year then Magic 8 Ball says "No."Keep your eyes peeled seems like a lot of Radiohead repressed have stated popping up recently.
The pressing will suck and it will be $40 for a single LP and it will sell out immediately and then sell out for $100 a pop on the secondary market and when can those of us who never left vinyl have it back from those more interested in the pageantry than the music...Yeah I saw it listed as awaiting repress somewhere, so it'll definitely pop up again. I got the XL reissue off Amazon for around $20. back in 2018. It sounds pretty good to me,Yeah I saw it listed as awaiting repress somewhere, so it'll definitely pop up again. Question is, will the pressing be any good. If you follow the trends of the past year then Magic 8 Ball says "No."

Also, a bit of a RIYL The Bends... Give Wand - Laughing Matter a listen. It's gotta Bends era Radiohead crossed with The Velvet Underground vibe that I found quite enjoyable.
It's in my top 3 or 4 of their albumsI know it's kind of a hot take, but I really enjoy The King of Limbs.
Different strokes I guess. I quite enjoyed it. The vinyl is nice too its pressed at RTI comes in a nice tip-on gatefold. Gotta see em opening for Stereolab, they were great live as well. One of my favorite releases from 2019.Gotta say I hated that wand album, I really didn’t get the Radiohead comparisons at all…
Actually hate is unfairly harsh. I just didn’t find anything much of merit in it, thought they were solidly mediocre and didn’t get the whole Radiohead comparisons at all.
The version of TKOL Newspaper version I linked above shows it was pressed at Record Industry. Was there both a RI and Optimal pressing released in Europe? And if so, you prefer the Optimal to the RI?The newspaper edition. There is a GZ and a Optimal. The optimal sells for more but the GZ as always is a mixed bag. My GZ is really nice but there are plenty of ones with a reputation for the usual GZ noise online.
For the bends same as any XL really. US press had a reputation for being pants, EU for being passable and the Parlophones, even the later pressings, sound epic.

Thanks, yeah I haven’t heard any of em but the RI version is on my want list in Discogs, wasn’t sure if there was another pressing I should be prioritizing. As far as I’m aware the Newspaper was only pressed in Europe and only sold through the band’s website. I knew it was pressed at two plants so I have probably confused the press I don’t have and you’re likely right about RI. I have the GZ which has had the usual GZ criticism even though my copy is clean.

Yeah, a have a cheapo repress copy I picked up for like $12 a while back. It’s probably fine given I don’t really listen to it all too often. That being said I would definitely upgrade the Newspaper edition if I across one at a decent value.Yeah it was a crapshoot when they were first bought because you just got whichever one on the pile was next. I didn’t know there was even two presses until years later when I tried to add it to cogs. That said I didn’t even have a turntable until two years after I bought it so had only spun the CDs until then!
