Immerse Your Soul In Love - The Radiohead Thread

Yeah see I find that inane and if actually ruins the finished article, the trick loses its magic when you see how it was carried out.

Please don’t criticise my attitude because I don’t like the demistification of art.
Woah, woah, okay.

My post wasn't meant to be any attack towards you at all. I'm sorry I wasn't very careful with my wording. I was just giving my opinion.

I also think what I was arguing is being misinterpreted. I want to studio-level recordings as well, guys. It's not an either-or situation. We can get new, dug up studio recordings like "Man of War" and "Lift" but also have some oddities as well that could be interesting for some fans to hear as an early version of a song they love.

I don't think having an alternate version of a song ruins the finished product in any way. If anything it can make you appreciate how something got from point A to point B. By no means am I trying to insult you but I just happen to disagree in this instance and there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm sorry for bringing this thread down, peeps. It wasn't my intention at all. I love this thread and everyone in it and I apologize to @Joe Mac for the harsh words and tone I used in my post.

Spinning this now. So intense and the pressing is excellent. Captures the nuances better than streaming it. “The Axe” is killing me View attachment 11653View attachment 11654
I'm really happy with this version of the release as well. Glad I didn't spring for the deluxe one.

I can't believe how fucking incredible this sounds on vinyl. This record reminds me why I got into vinyl. Dynamics of this pressing are absolutely amazing. I feel completely immersed in this and I don't even have the volume at 50%. I'm in awe of whatever they did to put this on wax correctly. This will be the record I now put on when people question of the difference in sound quality between records and streaming. It used to be Beck's Morning Phase, now it's ANIMA.

is talking about thom yorke on his own allowed in this thread

because if so the ANIMA vinyl is fantastic.. it looks nice, the book is cool, sound is pretty good even if there was like one small pop at the beginning of side C

and the bonus track is pretty alright

I am having my first spin of ANIMA and I agree. I actually turned down my amp quite a bit from its normal volume setting after the first disk. This album is LOUD but still maintains a lot of dynamics. A very immersive listen. I do have a fair number of pops that take me out of it a little. Hopefully the type that mellow out after a few spins.
