Need a human standing next to it for size reference. ;) Actually, mine are in-wall mounts. I plan on bringing one in the room and blasting some Jaco Pastorious at the walls to make room for these bad boys. That should do the trick.

The delivery truck, a semi with a 40’ trailer, broke down on its way here. Seems the trailer folded in half due to the weight of the subs and the last two Diatone 160s known to man were destroyed. Heartbreaking but at least I hadn’t blown out the two walls they were to be installed in. Thank goodness!

That’s sad. 😞

Luckily, you can still try to find a decommissioned Danley Matterhorn or an Ascendo The 80 to fill the whole in your heart from the loss of the Dialtones. I bet a military auction for the Danley would be cheaper with the government craziness these days. If there’s anyone there to run the auction. 🤞👍

The Danley spec sheet is incredible. 1,000 lbs of Linex to coat it just makes me lol. Good find. The Ascendo 80” looks smaller than the Diatone in the picture with the two guys handling the Mitsubishi on the steps.

USM delayed again (it wasn't this Sunday so I had hope). At this point I may just cancel it and buy some cheapo Monoprice stand or something for now. Things were slightly less....bleak economically when I placed the order so I may just take that $2500 back in my wallet and cling to it for dear life.

lol, what would their rationale be? According to them they don't even have it on hand yet. Last I heard the items were expected in their warehouse "in the next few days" about 8 days ago. Now the online orders show a 9 week fulfillment time (previously showed one week) and they still don't have them on hand. Most items have a 14 week fulfillment time, which I suspect is the time of manufacture/shipping. 9 + ~5 weeks I've already waited has me believing they just always had a long ass fulfillment time.

If they can guarantee it'll be in New England soon I can wait, but I haven't listened to a record in like two months and I'm kinda getting tired of the runaround.

oh i thought maybe it was made to order since it was taking so long...guess not. then i'd just cancel or try to get some money back for the long wait.

Yeah I may see if they'll chop off another 5% or something, but if not I'm happy to just go buy some temporary something or other. If we were in "precedented" times I'd maybe be less keen on the idea, but seeing news about banking system collapses and what not has me reconsidering some "luxury" purchases. I gotta fund my relocation to Mather's hi-fi asylum dungeon soon.
