Incoming! The New Equipment Thread

So my options are:

(a) wait indefinitely for the white Haller, maybe try to get a few bucks off
(b) change order to the black Haller, ships to Boston in a few days then maybe have it sometime early March
(c) cancel order, use funds to claim asylum status in the Matherground Railroad.

Oh, claim asylum, for sure. Just make sure Mather has lots of the Canadian rye aged in maple syrup barrels for when you arrive. Goes well with every musical genre.

A refund before you leave wouldn't hurt, either. The records are more expensive here. XD

Oh man it's all American bourbon.... I'M DOING A TERRIBLE JOB OF BEING A PROUD CANADIAN

That being said if the tariffs actually happen and Ontario bans all US booze I'm definitely opening a Bourbon speakeasy.

The government literally sells weed online and they deliver it to your house. It's... pretty wild.
Ours is a little different but there are delivery options available, which seems like a trap. I know it's NOT a trap, and that it's legal, but it still FEELS like a trap.

I have a medical shop I can walk to in maybe 90 seconds and another non-medical that's like 5 mins. If I go downtown there are 210398129734834758912347812763127981247982353 of them. I think there are more dispensaries than actual medical facilities in the Portland area.

Last time I was in Montreal I think I managed to find a dispensary within like 2 blocks of every Metro stop.

Yeah when they legalized them up here Toronto became like Amsterdam NA. It's pretty gross but thankfully a lot of them are closing up as the few big companies take over. But it's pretty scuzzy and really wasn't all that well done by the federal government BIG SHOCKER...

This is just the ones on the peninsula, but you could walk north to south/east to west in like 10-15 mins, so it's basically one every block along the main roads. It's cuckoo for such a smol city.Screenshot 2025-02-28 at 11.29.28 AM.png

Rollout was up to the provinces, FYI. Like everything else going so well in Ontario, you can thank Dougie.

Gotta say, my experiences with Montreal dispensaries was great (though, unsurprisingly, the employees were doing their best French impersonation, e.g. being assholes). The drugs did the trick though.

If I ever get out to Halifax I can report on Nova Scotia's (and maybe New Brunswick's) dispensary situation.

I don't drink, so Mather just needs to be within close proximity to a dispenary, which based on my past few visits to Canadaland, shouldn't be an issue as they're fucking everywhere.
They are absolutely everywhere in Ontario. Even the tiny, middle-of-nowhere town I used to live in had three. However, they seem much less prevalent in Nova Scotia. I've only noticed it for sale at the NSLC (government liquor store), and even then, the pot shop portion is set up like the adult section of a 90s movie rental shop.

Anyway, sounds like you'll fit right in!

I love apologizing too, when do I get my Canadian passport?
