Incoming! The New Equipment Thread

Sub is up and running. Super easy to get integrated. Just fills in the lowest frequencies that the LA-165s can’t do. I’ve got the crossover set to 75Hz and the gain set about 60%.

Someone at CV knows good sound.

I suppose I should just get the credit card out now for it.

I got my LA-165's this morning. And yes, I did what you suggested and hooked them up to the main system.

These are seriously good. So happy they didn't put metal tweeters in these, female voices are so nice with these and I think that would have ruined them.

I remember what the ELAC Debut's first came out, and the Uni-Fi. Great speakers on the cheap, and a challenge to other makers to step up and respond. These LA-165's are very good, and can certainly play with more expensive setups. I have to think that if CV has the money to promote these they will pull sales from some of their competitors.

When I finished college, I moved and got an apartment and bought a NAD 3120 and a pair of Baby Advents. Those Baby's are remembered fondly for me. I've had a ton of speakers over the years, and those Baby's just sounded right in a way that a lot of others did not. These 165s remind me of those, both in the bargain but also in their inherent sound.
