It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

2. Ten Haag is finishing the season at Ajax and coming in over the summer and Rangnick was always only ever an interim which, together with him being about as much use as a chocolate teapot, meant that whole experiment was doomed to failure.

Ok. I thought he was in bound.

Everton are in biiiiiiiig trouble. Burnley have a much easier schedule.

Predicting run ins is a weird one. Paper doesn’t always translate. That said, if they get a thumping on Saturday, which is entirely possible, it could have a really detrimental effect on their confidence. Is a pity they can’t reel Villa in, I’d love to see Stevie Geeeeeeeeeee go down, he’s done a really bang average job there despite being given a lot of money to spend in January.

yeah it always never translates. Arsenal losing their last 3 and beating Chelsea away. Southampton beating Arsenal and Spurs and losing 6-1 to Chelsea. Chelsea getting thumped by Brentford 4-1. Spurs doing the double over City but United doing the double over Spurs. It's been a crazy inconsistent season.

They've been better but they've also been, as you say, bang average. They had like 2 games where Coutinho has been very good but mostly anonymous everywhere else. I have a feeling they'll be not as good next season.

Have the really been that much better. I’m not convinced by him. Celtic were dog shit last year and he still only managed one of the three on offer in Scotland. He’s also my least favourite football of all time so there is more than a little schadenfreude in there too..

statistically yes. If you have 9 minutes this does tell you that they have been better. Is it significantly better? absolutely not. But he's got them away from the relegation zone which was mostly what they wanted so he's done his job. I think they'll do worse next season.

I'm not a Villa fan but I watch those videos on my lunch break usually. Good insights honestly.

Haha! I’m sure they do, the Athletic generally do good deep dives. I do find it hard to watch or read that kinda of deep analysis of an average/weak mid table team, well other than the useless bunch of knackers I’m supporting but they don’t require all that much analysis…

Anyway I digress, I could watch that all day about the great teams, just not that fussed about over analysis of the average or weak ones.

Kit related questions.

1. Have the sponsorship ads always been bigger than the team crest?

2. Is it left to the player’s discretion on if they want their first or last name on the back?

Sincerely,
