It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

That’s potentially a very good signing. I’m not sure why Barca didn’t have faith in him, especially as a homegrown player and them being over a billion in debt, always looked a decent prospect to me.
Yea I’m excited. We have been brining in older at the end of their career players. The only player deftly that payed off was Zlatan. For years the managers have been complaining that there is no scouting network. Which is nuts.

Switch Chelsea and Arsenal and United and West Ham and that is pretty spot on 😎

Also wishing Wolves into the top 8 and fading Newmoney
there were some stats last season showing that Jose Sa basically saved Wolves because they were in serious relegation form with their expected goals against average contrary to their shots saved above average. I saw that Lage is switching to a back 4 so maybe that helps them a little bit. But they seriously need Jiminez, Podence or Neto to have a breakout year again otherwise they're in trouble.

It’s not that the money’s new. I’ve not got historic ill will towards Newcastle who are a genuinely big club who has periods at the top before Ashley. I don’t even bemoan them a takeover and a bit of hope. It’s more that it’s clearly blood money and that they’re owned by a repressive, autocratic, terrorist sponsoring, state.

Nathan Collins at centre half is a really serious talent. They bought really well there. That boy has the talent to go places. Biggest Irish talent since Keane and Duff emerged around the turn of the millennium.

I think Neto stays healthy and has a solid year! We shall see though

Well, I thought I had made some changes to my fantasy squad a few weeks ago and I just went to check and they didn’t stick. So the likelihood of me caring is about 5%.

that is shitty!! U still have a few hours to fix it!

I just made my last (i think) change this morning when I woke up lol

No signings, passive aggressive grumblings from Rodgers, an underwhelming season last year and they have a very tricky start to the season, They could quite easily find themselves bottom of the table in September and then pressure builds. Crazier things have happened in the PL.

Ricardo Pereira out for 6 months minimum after he did his Achilles, Schmeichel gone, Fofana, Tielmans, Maddison all could still leave, Vardy getting older, Johnny Evans getting older. Deadwood in Vestergaard, Perez taking up space. They need some breakout seasons from Barnes, KDH, Soumare, or Daka otherwise they could be in trouble.

They've been dead to me ever since they took Newcastle Brown Ale off their kits.

But seriously, why did that happen? Probably the most natural sponsor of a team ever.
