It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Yeah that was daylight robbery, the commentators said that Wellbeck was looking for contact? Nah, he gets shoved in the box that’s a clear pen

Commentators here were shocked, thought it was stonewaller. It was Carragher though so I’d rather just trust my own eyes 😂. But yeah clear shoulder in the back.

A brace in his first Premier League match. I'm sure he's going to suck after that and be a complete disappointment. So when Champions League starting up again?

Nah, these periods of dominance are cyclical. United under Fergie looked like they could win it every year for like 2 decades. Hard to see Pep or Klopp having as big an impact for so long. Get ready for Newcastle to dominate the 2030s!

For sure and unlike the other big leagues in Europe the big teams can fail. Even with the two most successful teams United went 26 years without a title and Liverpool 30. Their 19 and 20 titles is also a bit less than the dominant teams in other leagues, especially with it being one of the oldest professional leagues when you add the old football league first division in.
