True, that’s more desperation than anything. Plus he is at least a proven player on the world stage and in a position we’ve needed filling for years. Gibbs-White has talent but he’s unproven above the Championship which is what makes this so crazy. I’ve never heard of a player be bought out of the Championship for half that fee.

Dont get me wrong they both aren't great at this point imo! Gibbs played for Wolves since they won and got promoted...I mean he hasn't started much if any but I agree still. Just happy Forest are getting a good team together.....Casemiro scored 1 goal last season and had 3 assists in 43 matches including CL...not to mention he hasn't done alot for Brazil either. Seems like everyone is panicking with under 2 weeks to go


EDIT: He did manage 14 yellow cards tho

You really hate defensive midfielders?

Yeah I mean we aren’t signing Cassemiro to score goals or even assist them. Those stats are utterly redundant with such a player. We also have a lot of creative midfielders already. We’re signing him to fill that big gap in the centre of the field that teams have been driving a double decker bus through for about a year now. That comes with yellow cards. He did play a pretty key role in a team winning the European Cup last year, plus it’s not necessarily a young man’s position on the field either, so I don’t think I’d call him a busted flush. It is more than he’s worth though, no doubt, but we’re desperate and he is capable of doing a solid job.

Gibbs-White just seems a weird player to decide to pay that amount of money on. I don’t understand it really and they do already have a few attacking midfielders. I do hope forest stay up though.

I know and to be honest we deserve it. We’ve been shit. I think we’re overpaying and I’m not deluded enough to think he was the first, or even second, choice but I think buying that type of player has to be a positive for us. I’m certainly happier with him joining than I was with the links to Rabiot!

Allegedly he really wants to be there to face a new challenge so that is a positive start to things at least
