It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Great to see Rashford on the score sheet again. Fantastic header.

Also apt for a home grown talent to score today given it makes 85 years of having at least one homegrown player in the squad for every single game.

One of the best atmospheres in England

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You’re winning some games so they’re happy. We’ll judge that when you go through a sticky patch, because Arsenal’s fan base has historically gone toxic rather than getting behind its team then.

Also other football fans are going to slag you come rain or shine. You’re going to be waiting a long long time if you’re looking to them for validation.

I'm laughing because even some of the home fans don't like them lol The fan base is split over whether they like the new group and their ways!

Side note....Are the carabao cup fixtures completely random round by round? I noticed this last year but forgot to ask....Like how is it City v Chelsea in round 3 and Liverpool vs Derby County

Both knockout cups in England are out of a hat. There never has been seeding, and there hopefully never will be.

I like the format!! I just didn't know if they split the premiere league teams up on each side of a bracket or something at the start

In the league cup they miss the first round. Or first two if in Europe. In the FA Cup they all miss the first two rounds. After that it’s an open draw. It’s good, it creates stories and levels the field a bit because let’s face it everything in the sport is biased in favour of the big guns. If you look at the winners since 1990 it’s hardly harmed the big teams either.
