It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

That’s a wild decision!

Great save!
A German ex-ref commenting for German TV said it was basically a mistake of various giving the refs camera perspective where it looked like a harder contact and not the one where it was clearly visible that the goalie hardly touched messi

Cry me a river. My captain got put on late to get double fuck all points and Messi missed a penalty.
I had mixed feelings on that pen - as messi is my captain I wanted the goal- but morally that shouldn’t have been a pen so was happy with the save
Poland looking in trouble now - can’t afford any yellow cards !

Can afford more yellow cards than goals still

I have to stop cutting onions while I’m browsing the boards.

As I grow older, my hope for humanity lessens, but there’s still a part of me that likes to believe that there are enough good people in the world and together, we could smash the skulls and guts of all the assholes that are preventing the goodies from moving forward.

More than any other sport do you have stories like this because it is a global sport. My favorite story to tell about this is that I used to play ina pick up game that was started by a Moroccan. However, the people who played were from all over the Islamic world. One day there a la league playing on the field we played at. One of the teams happened to be English. Most people just asserted that we had to play on a smaller field. One guy got a little upset, “They took my country now they take our Football fields!” My friend and I, who is from Lux, exchanged a few uneasy looks as were were the only people of European decent. We were ok through We never had any problems. The sad part is that a few months later post 9/11 the Moroccan who organized it got deported after living in the us for 20 years. HIs ex wife ratted him out. He lived in our apartment building. I was coming back form Starbucks early in the morning and there were 7-10 DHS guys at our front door with automatic weapons. I asked them, “ hey can i get to my car?” They all shrugged, said sure, and let me pass.
