It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Jesse March is going full Arteta on the pitch. He has been running around the sideline like a mad man. Took the ball angrily walked in a circle around the technical area before slamming the ball down in front of a West Ham player. Just got a yellow. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets another before it is over
I’m very interested to see what happens with the USMNT drama because Marsch is the obvious replacement but he wouldn’t leave Leeds right now unless he’s sacked. Leeds begin to look in danger of going down and I could see him in one job and out the other fast.

I know this is in USD but $105M for this guy.... that's fucking insane. He's not worth that much money.... are you kidding me?

Games gone..

Chelsea keeps trying to hijack our moves. They were trying in the summer too when we were after Raphinha early. I hope they overpay for this dude. Arsenal offered 52 milly, then 62 milly. If they dont take the 2nd offer we need to continue to pursue Felix and Tielemans. Shakhtar is nuts for this valuation

I don't even get the hype, what has he done that proves he's worth even half that much??

Go and get idk... Harvey Barnes or Gordon from Everton at least they can hack it in the EPL and would cost far less. Felix will be that much or more. I don't think he's worth it either.

Equally they see Antony £80m, Nunez £80m (eventually) and set that as the target rate for potential. English football is becoming a victim of its own largesse. Arsenal will either need to pay up or risk loosing him to Chelsea, who will pay, or waiting until the summer.

Felix is special. The move to Atletico always seemed a weird one and a bad fit bit with the right progressive manager he’s capable fo whatever he wants.

Barnes or Gordon are average. They’ll do a job mid table. They’re no more than squad players above 7th.

I think it’s difficult for any of us to comment on this lad properly because we all know so little about Ukrainian football but I don’t blame Shaktar for playing Arsenal off Chelsea to get the highest fee possible.

I disagree. They're both young, could improve in a better squad. They could hit the ground running. Mudryk might be another Pepe. It's a collosiall waste of money on a maybe.

Barnes already has 6 goals in 16 games this season, that's quietly a good season so far. People would hail Mudryk a complete sucess if he gets 6 goals after transfering.

I don’t see it in either personally. A bit more in Gordon maybe but I can’t see either being a regular in a challenging team. Both work hard and a will chip in with an amount of goals but I don’t see that little bit of something magic or different there.

That’s what the premier league is money wise. It’s been the case for a while now thst the big teams can’t take the best players from the mid to lower teams like they used to. Those teams can afford to hold onto their best players or ask for colossal fees. English clubs have gone abroad for value. Teams abroad are catching on will look to leverage the English cash. It’s up to the clubs whether they pay it or pass on.

you're right about that. Those two players would be cheaper than Mudryk, but they'd still ask like 40m at least which is insane. Chelsea almost bough Gordon for something like 60m last summer..
