It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Yea and Goodison is our krptonite as it is. Martinelli looks poor as well

Goodison is always a tough place to go. Old fashioned ground. Steep stands on top of a very tight pitch and a feisty crowd. The amount of bloody noses I’ve seen united get there too when we were going for titles.

They’re denying him space in behind so his pace isn’t coming into it. It might be a game more suited to the guile of a Trossard instead.

Yea for sure. I thought Arteta would bring him on after halftime tbh.

I saw that goal coming.

Yeah. They had 3 good chances in the first half so you had to change the pattern in the second. Great corner and header but fuck knows what Odegaard was doing picking up Tarkowski.

Also one of those games where in a title season you get a bit beat up away against a physical team having a good day and have to find a way to salvage a draw or scrape a win whilst being a bit shit.

That’s a great set piece goal! Can’t say Everton don’t deserve it too

Yeah it’s a very Sean Dyche performance so far which is really impressive after only a week. Solid and physical with good pressing and dangerous on the break. Equally it’s much easier to get it up for Arsenal. Be more interesting to see how they do against those around them.

This is a great result!

If Spurs win, I won’t feel guilty because Arsenal won’t have gained ground.

If City win, they’re only 2 points back.
