It seems insane that he’s sacked after 18 months with them in the quarters of the European cup, one point off the top and €65 million invested just in him, before his staff and any transfers he approved,
Reports are that there were mainly tensions between him and the players. But it will be interesting to see if tuchel gets along with bayern management

Yeah he’s always has that aura of a pound shop Pep about him. Pep gets away with all that tortured genius reinventing the wheel for its own sake crap because he’s always won everything. This lad not such much yet.

That said, if there’s tension with him then Tuchel is an odd call to replace, he’s so over intense and has a distinct air of bell end about him.

Why aren’t long sleeve kits made more accessible?

They’re not the normal. Short sleeve kits are the standard that sell probably 90%. As an aside, in England in the 90s unless you were a seriously talented forward, or a keeper, short sleeve kits were unacceptable, regardless of your age or the weather. If you were cold or wet you were told to stop being lazy and run around a bit more and then you wouldn’t be so cold 😂

might have also get to too big clubs too soon. Nagelsman is 35 now, plenty of time to win something but he might be burned by switching to Bayern to early

True but equally Pep’s first job was straight into the pressure cooker at Barcelona. Nagelsmann might be young but as he wasn’t really a player he’s had a big bit more experience as a manager.

I don’t think he’d really fit with the current spurs team either. The forwards yes, but you almost don’t even need a manager or a system to get those three going, it’s just quality. What I don’t see there is the midfield to back up and press and create on overloads or a defence that’s capable of playing right on the half way line to keep the squeeze on. I’m not sure there’s the money, or the willingness to spend, to get to that because with the profile of manager at united, city and liverpool they’re going to comprehensively outspend spurs for that kind of player. Unless both him and spurs are willing to go for a longer Arteta type project and take a fair bit of pain for two to three years to get to that more sustainably.

Yes I think that’s the plan. If Kane leaves then we’ll have some money to spend. But the club needs to rebuild. This’ll be the 3rd manager since Poch and I believe the club realize they’ll be approaching a transitional period.

I do think Yves Bissouma might come good under someone like Nagelsmann. He was used poorly and sparsely under Conte. He’s more of a ball carrying 6/8 but has been played as a 6 tasked with screening the defense which I don’t think he’s as capable at. He’d thrive in a more attacking team with the bulk of the possession. Bentancur, Skipp, and Sarr are also good on the ball. Skipp is also a very good tackler, kind of reminds me of Kanté at times the way he chases after players and puts in a well timed challenge. Hojbjerg might be the odd man out since he’s not really good at one thing, just decent at most things. Definitely could be upgraded to bring in someone that a new manager/Nagelsmann would prefer. I think Spurs need an Attacking Mid who could press like you said. Maybe someone like Maddison or someone else.

The problem is that you’ll get half for Kane what you would have last year and almost to improve the core areas you’re only really getting 2 with the sufficient quality in for £100 million. Unless you invest in potential which kinda means shorter term pain because even the ones that do make it as you expect will have a few years of being inconsistent because that’s just what happens with younger players. You’re also not going to be able to bully the Brighton’s and Brentford’s of this world with that money because their relative success and premier league tv money means they don’t have to sell below their value unless it’s a contract rundown situation.

I also don’t know if you can carry a Maddison and that front three without being horribly open. He isn’t a dynamo like a Fernandes and he doesn’t have the ball retention machine behind him like de Bruyne has. If you look at Liverpool for example they play a centre forward that occupies both 9 and 10 for that reason. You probably need more midfielders of the profile of Eriksen or Gundogan/Silva that are mobile and press and create/pass the ball forward but come from that bit deeper. Also going to need 1/2 centre halves and maybe a keeper. Would you accept Henderson as part of a Kane deal if one was to be happening anyway?

He's not my first choice but I think he'd be okay. Levy will want 100m so maybe Henderson brings down that cost to like 70m. Kane would immediately make United a title challenger.

I think a new manager would player a 4-2-3-1 or a variation of a back 3 or back 5 with at least another attacking midfielder. I have seen some crazy lineups from Nagelsman at Leipzig when he played like a 4-2-2-2 type formation. Lots of possibilities so whoever comes in as that attacking midfidler would need to be flexible. It's a shame Eriksen went to United because him coming back was a possibility but Conte never wanted him so it wasn't pursued.

I saw it rumoured over the weekend and I was kinda unsure whether or not I’d want him if I was a spurs fan. I think that while you might say that Kane is worth £100 and him around £25 it’s likely that Levy wouldn’t allow a £75 sale regardless. He’d want more cash to lose Kane domestically. I think that the deal would end up as nearer £85 with the swap, if Levy would even entertain united. He could say go abroad or we will let you go for free next year.

Love this! Basically, they are a group of 50/100 people and every weekend they throw a dart on the map of their area and go to support the local amateur team. They do not contact the teams, they just arrive make tons of noise and support the players.
