What’s the seating capacity at Chelsea, etc.

All below 50k. Leeds could fill whatever size stadium they wanted but with their finances the last 20 years haven’t touched Bellend Road. Villa similar but I think they have plans to expand soon. Chelsea’s problem is where they are. Expanding that stadium in one of the most expensive parts of London is going to be mega money.

To be fair, Atlanta plays at a hand egg stadium, but their numbers are still impressive. I don’t know who in the MLS decides who has to build a football specific stadium and who doesn’t.

Hand egg?

A lot of the British stadium’s capacities shrunk in the 90s with the enforced conversion to all seater stadiums and the accompanying rise in ticket costs. Until the last 10 years only Celtic Park and Old Trafford kept on expanding and at 74,500 is still the biggest club stadium, even if it’s been let rot by the Glazer leaches.

It has only really been in the last 10-15 years with the next generation of new builds and the expansions of the biggest clubs legacy ones that we have begun to have stadiums going over 50k again.

My hope is that any future expansion of Old Trafford goes past Wembley’s 90k and even chases down the near 100k of the Nou Camp and Bernabau.

Nearly 86,000 at the MCG last night for our ANZAC eve game. A great experience.

Aberdeen pumped The Rangers as well, so a good sporting weekend all round!

I’d sign Mount in a heartbeat. Excellent midfielder ideally suited to a modern high pressing game. Unfortunately I can see him at Liverpool where I think he’d excel under Klopp.

Others not so much. Pity Pulisic is always injured because there is a player in there.

with a Chelsea rebuild looming I wonder who is gonna go after Sterling, Cucuforcocopuffs, Mount, and Pulisic when they are inevitably offered up for sale
Sterling could end up a Newcastle, Cucurella could easily go back to Spain and play for someone like Sevilla or Betis. I agree with Joe that Mount would excell in a Klopp team. Pulisic idk, he's always injured. He should take a step back and go to a team like Villa or Brighton or go back to Germany to Dortmund or Leipzig.

Rumor is Arsenal have Mount pegged as their Plan B in case they can't get a decent deal for Declan Rice

I don’t think that if he’s on the market that he’ll hang around that long. Also don’t think there’s an equivalence? Mount plays a bit higher and is a bit more dynamic than Rice who is more a sitter that will come forward every now and again.

Rice would be good at Arsenal, but would he want to play second fiddle to Partey or would he slowly replace Xhaka (Xhaka is 30, but that's still not old yet)? I guess if Partey goes away this offseason then he could slot right in.

Not sure if they would move Xhaka to the bench and try Odegaard Rice Partey behind Saka Martinelli Jesus or just have Rice as Parteys replacement if he gets in trouble or inevitably hurt multiple times throughout the year...plus with Champions League coming...who knows
