It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

So I just checked. Who are three people doing worse than the team that hasn’t been touched since December? And @wokeupnew how are you only one point ahead?
Right now it’s just about surviving relegation. I made too many transfers mid season trying to chase points. Stuck with some players for too long. Was late to the Arsenal defense and when I finally got them in they started conceding more.

I don’t bet on sports, I just hate Arsenal 😎
And I dislike Spurs Chelsea Liverpool and United but I hate this City machine more lol

I need to find that post about this being funny for you all when the seasons nearing an end and we inevitably blow it which leads to me having a melt down tho. Cuz it happened haha that being said we r top of the table til the weekend so I'm gonna pretend these are fun times til then 🤣

So rival fan bases, my take.

For me there is that local rivalry with city and that oneupmanship that comes with it, and of course hate the oil, but I lived there and I had good city mates, I can’t hate hate them. Their proper fans put up with some proper shit and kept going.

Arsenal were just annoying. It was mostly a rivalry around trophies but man you haven’t had to deal with Arsenal fans in England. They’re never happy. Always moaning and emotionally all over the place. Plus they’re from London.

Liverpool as a club and a fanbase are that mirror that shows yourself your own lie. Plus they’re just down the road. Far enough that they ain’t neighbours but near enough that you have to deal with them regularly.

Leeds are animals.

Meanwhile, asked by awestruck BT Sport pundits how he has his Man City playing at such a high level Pep Guardiola responded ‘the club breaking financial fair play rules around 100 times over a nine-year period probably has something to do with it’.
HaHa

Just what the doctor ordered. Nice finish.

Powder puff defending from spurs. Pathetic non tackles on Rashford and stood far too far off Sancho.
