It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Why wasn’t that a penalty on the keeper?
Home game?

Mix of that and keepers are a protected species. In general it’s very easy to foul a keeper but very difficult for a keeper to foul an outfield player. Had he claimed the ball or been close to it and clattered the player there likely isn’t a debate. It’s a penalty because it was a moment of madness going for a ball that he could never get and he’s caught the player so so late.

It shows as restricted on insta here….
lame! It's an NBCSports post of a slow-motion replay from the United-Wolves match where Antony is wrestling Dawson to the ground during a corner and Peter Drury says Antony grappling with Dawson here, there is something quite romantic about that

Easily the most defensive look from the Union all year. It'll most likely end up looking like 5-1-2-1-1 with 3 DMs reliant on the counter with no qualms about giving up possession. Neither of the normal starting strikers are in. Assume they'll run the kid up front ragged for 60 minutes and then bring on a striker for one of the CBs.

Looks like that paid off

I’m thinking about it. I have to pick up two turntables from repair so I’ll have to see how much I spend there.
