Yeah I said at the time the penalty was 50/50 and whichever side was on the wrong side of it would he annoyed. Evens one was WWF though. Two arms around him and it opened up the space for the shot. It also doesnā€™t help that Declan Rice is one of my most hated footballers, idiot goon sold as ā€œgood ladā€ and stole 3 caps off a young Irish lad.

Wolves did it before the season even began tbf. Iā€™m not even sure what kind of football United are trying to play, it doesnā€™t look good.

Maybe I need to go have a sit down in a quiet room, or a scream in a padded room, until the disappointment passes! I definitely see improvements in us from last year, we were in this and controlled the ball at stages this year whereas last year it was a bit more basketball when we went forward.

But unfortunately a few of these cases pop up periodically throughout the year, especially as the league year starts, and is probably just coincidence.

There was an pretty interesting article on the differences in major leagues handling these situation from The Athletic a few months ago. I think me sharing it will bypass the paywall but maybe not.

Governing bodies in the U.S have a greater say over disciplining players. After Greenwood, does the UK need to look at what it does?

Yeah itā€™s a pretty shitty situation. The governance in the FA and PL pretty much bury their heads and itā€™s left up to the clubs who are horribly conflicted. Youā€™d hope as a fan that theyā€™ll do the right thing but when thereā€™s a ā‚¬100m investment on the tableā€¦
