It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

My friend Khalil who I reference here often (my idiot United friend) just called me cheering we got super Erik Ten Hag lmao

Maybe this time around will be different. Sounds like a good ol fashion United spending frenzy is upon us

I don’t think we have the money mate. We’re still hurting on the balance sheet after Covid and the years of waste. We have to shift players on for fees to spend big big. Is why they’re looking at a striker from Genoa for half the Toney money.

Ten Hag is a hard one. There have been glimpses in games and results but overall it’s just difficult to see how he actually wants us to play. Equally 2 years in a chaotic mess of a club is a very hard place and amount of time to properly judge the job done. The delusional press conferences after shit performances do need to be consigned to the past.

I still hope that some day Poch gets a go at Old Trafford…

I think u all should move on from Fernandes and build behind Holjund amd bring back Mourinho lol but what do I know (I just want to see Mourinho back in the premier league battling with Arteta, Pep, etc lol)

Poch at United would be interesting. The Glazers getting out of there would be even better.

Maybe you’ll all vote in their good pal trump and he’ll do something stupid enough that we’ll have to sanction them and take the club off them a la Red Rom…

Oh boy.....a definite possibility

You all should just do a mass boycott and force their hand

I mean the club is just too big. Our hardcore walked out and set up a phoenix club when they first took over and it wasn’t even a blip on the attendance sheet. There have then been a number of campaigns that have made it too toxic for them to even be in Manchester but they keep shamelessly dipping into the United ATM. I don’t think it’s the fans that can force this one, they can just continue to keep it in the public eye.

Still think United fans need to find away to disrupt Tampa and their other businesses.

From a football point of view an idea summer for me is Antony, Sancho and Greenwood gone. Olise, Toney, an holding midfielder and one or two centre halves in. The striker and at least one centre half is the real critical bit.

Leave Tampa out of this! Haha

Yea idk if they'll ever sell at this point I guess

They’re all about the money and Ratcliffe came in because there was a need for investment and they don’t invest, ever. I think if an OT rebuild requires a personal contribution then they could just sell up and realise the asset, for now they still see more money to bleed out so they won’t.

Sancho has been flourishing. Shame that didn't work. The other two should be gone if anyone will buy them

Again I like Holjund. I'd take him at Arsenal to challenge Jesus and allow Havertz to play a wing spot

United was too big for him. Talent isn’t enough in England at both United and Liverpool, you need mentality. If you look at the number of great players that United signed the last time they were in the wilderness that just couldn’t deal with the pressure either.

That’s why I really like Toney as an option. He’s a proper character.

We at Arsenal have been on the Toney train for a while but now all of a sudden there's no mention of him anymore. Not sure what happened there

We too need a striker desperately but Mikel wants a young striker to develop so who knows what will happen

I also like Hojlund too boojy but you cannot just rely on one single striker in his early 20s. You need different types of options and some experience in there too.

Tell that to Pep and his robot lol

I mean we'd keep Jesus too but I'd love to buy him from yall

I think from what I’ve read that United and Arsenal are both linked with the same three strikers now Sesko looks to be staying out. Toney, Zirkee and David.

With de Bruyne, Foden, Silva etc etc etc providing the bullets for Alvarez in his absence I don’t think it really matters all that much. They could probably stick Carson up front for a few games for a laugh and be grand.

It seems KDB is gonna give it one more season with City but I imagine that'd be it. Saudi money is calling. Silva can't be far behind
