Almost 10 years ago, my oldest son was 4 years old and used to accompany me to the record stores. He was OBSESSED with trains at that time... couldn’t think about anything else. One day when were out at a shop, he comes to me with this in his hands, asking if he could buy it. 99¢, what kind of father would I be to turn him down? This is now the second time I’ve ever listened to it and it’s skipping all over the place. It’s exactly what you think it would be: a bunch of old folky/country songs about riding trains and lots guitars sounding like a train whistle. May be another ten years before I listen to this again, but thanks for the opportunity to remember a certain era!
