It’s midway through January and we’re all bankrupt. Play me something from your backlogue.
Electric Light Orchestra - Out Of The Blue
Time to give an entire ELO album a listen for the first time. I have been a familiar with ELO for a long time but never explored further than the singles. This album is quite epic. Feels like they use an entire orchestra on every song. Thanks again @Turbo for hooking me up with this generous prize from the December Challenge!

Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy - The Letting Go
This album was recorded in Reykjavik, Iceland which seems like a fairly wintery place and features the track “Cold & Wet” which could also aptly describe a Pacific Northwest winter as well.

I decided to go with Needles & Grooves AoTM /// Vol. 15 - September 2020 @Yer Ol' Uncle D prime choice. It was tough as there are a lot of excellent albums that N&G AoTM has turned me on to over the past 3 years.
These are great. More of you should get involved. Play one that was a new discovery that you love. No dupes rule suspended for today.

Very grateful to have been introduced to this band and album. I'd been listening to Jeff Parker a lot, who's now one of my favourite guitarists, and knew a little bit of David Pajo but hadn't heard Tortoise before. Love this record.

The Weakerthans "Reconstruction Site" - fantastic record that leads to buying more Weakerthans records....I enjoy discovering all sorts of new music in the N&G AoTM threads from the selections to the guesses and the would be selections they are a wonderful place for finding your next favorite band or artist!!

I didn't notice the "new discovery" part. Ooops! I already had this one before joining the forum - in fact, it was the first brand-new and third overall record I bought when I got back into vinyl. I absolutely love these two, and they can do no wrong by me!
