Jazz

new craft AAA/KG/RTI preorder is up for Abbey Lincoln's "Abbey is Blue"

Not super familiar with this title but pretty great lineup on it: Kenny Dorham, Stanley Turrentine, Wynton Kelly, Sam Jones, Philly Joe Jones and Max Roach are all on it.

Jazz In Britain released the first track in their upcoming release to subscribers and it COOKS!

No clue as to when it is being released yet but looks to be a good one!

Just to add to this, they have added ANOTHER upcoming title to the subscriber area of their Bandcamp. That's 3 more that should be available for pre order soon and they are all what I would consider to be big releases, certainly judging from the amount of comments they have received on the subs area.

It seems that the next Craft One Step will have a countdown type page versus just suddenly dropping. It's good for international folks and people who can't constantly check sites to know when it's up or not, but at the same time probably guarantees that the site will crash...

@zdkaiser i know you wanted to be tagged in any more info about this...

Also, Craft posted a behind the scenes pic of Eastern Sounds being pressed on reddit:

Had an email from STRUT to say that the Sun Ra Lanquidity box set is being delayed.

@Andy cant remember if you caved in on this in the end?

I did, & just got the same email.

I can't keep track of my pre-orders, I really hope I don't forget I ordered this & get it again in June. Like I did with the Chet Baker album
I use a notepad app on my cell phone to keep track. I write album title, vendor, and release date. Then delete the line when the record arrives. Takes but a few minutes.

you are all so organised, you might even have me actually buying to a budget if I note down all my orders.

Or actually think about how much I've spent on records (this bit would not be good at all).

cross post from the deals thread! i'd recommend only if you haven't ordered this in the past or don't have most of the listed albums.

@Shaymoose If you were ever interested in getting deeper into jazz, this deal would be an excellent way to do it

yep! It’s a solid deal and the pressings last time were great. I figure they are doing DeAgostini pressings again but who knows! They are kinda vague but it’s worth the gamble for those who don’t have too many jazz titles.

I might order this. Seems like a possible extra discount via a referral code? Or is there another known discount code?
