I’ve done this with quite a few records recently too as I start to pare down my collection. Didn’t realize the Young Thug Jeffery album was selling for so much. Sold a Mondo Studio Ghibli record as well not that long ago. A bunch of records I bought out of FOMO a few years ago that I never play are now going up on reddit and my discogs page to fund records I actually want to buy.I tend to take off more than 1c a time (around £5 depending on the original amount), that would be so time consuming.
Most of the time it will just hit my 'I would rather keep it than drop it anymore' price, = but sometimes it surprises me. For example, I was looking through my discogs collection the other week and saw 'Odd Future - The OF Tape' was selling for crazy money. I picked this up sealed for £10 and listened to it once so I listed it for the £105 average. I forgot about it until last night, and dropped it to £100 and it sold instantly. Still cant quite believe it because I couldn't care less for the album, it just wasn't my thing. Now I can pick up a pile of records I actually want.
I'm happy when you're happy.
And yes, I see those asses now. You ruined my innocence...
Are YOU happy now?
damn i can't un-see that now either
Team, has anyone picked up this 'Chet Baker – 79 - Round Midnight' release on Wnts Corp. Ltd? Its limited to 500 copies but pretty pricy at 40 Euro plus shipping. I have never heard of this label before and the info on the pressing is really vague to be honest. Sounds like it would be a great bit of music, but it would need to be a decent audiophile quality for me to fork up the kind of money they are asking.
Heres a link to their store and the record. https://wntsjazz.com/products/chet-baker-79-round-midnight-limited-edition-vinyl
Their vagueness is what is sketchy to me. As well as this only having a CD release in the past...Came here to mention this, and I'm tempted, as I do like me some Chet.
Pressed in Germany, 'carefully remastered' and apparently analogue source according to their response to my question on FB ...
Sadly, I'm still waiting for my Ill Considered TPs and Wildflower TPs - he claimed to have included it with my Christmas TP, but that one came in a small single mailer. Since then it's been a huge hassle to get an answer and he's still claiming to have shipped the records.Quick update for you jazz fans. Nick at Jazz Proprietors in Brixton has 10 test pressings of the Leroy Duncann - Instrumentals 7". Hes looking for £20 each for them. Im sticking to the standard press, but if anyone is interested then send him a message on instagram.
Here's a cheapy some of you may like. It's Tom Skinner's (drummer for Sons of Kemet) side project. Lots of guest musicians. Similar to Comet is Coming, it blurs the lines of contemporary UK jazz and electronica, often heavy on Chicago House influences. Not a bad album at all but possibly not for everyone. £11.87 for this Brownswood 2LP.

Ah thats awful, those TP's go for a quite bit of money now as well. I have bought my fair share of TP's from Nick (Wildflower & 5-6 IC's) and never had a problem, so hopefully he will be able to sort it all out for you.Sadly, I'm still waiting for my Ill Considered TPs and Wildflower TPs - he claimed to have included it with my Christmas TP, but that one came in a small single mailer. Lost a lot of money here, sadly. He seems like a real nice person though, but it's hard for me to be ordering again...
Jeezus! Give me a break. I've been planning to order this one so I guess it's time. Thanks!
Did you already use a £5 voucher code? I was gifted several here and it seems it's one per customer so have a couple to offer back up if you or others want one.
If you still got one to spare, I won't mind you having it added to my pile.Did you already use a £5 voucher code? I was gifted several here and it seems it's one per customer so have a couple to offer back up if you or others want one.
Trust me, I've been trying to convince him that those records could not have been in the very same package. I've been asking him to check the receipt or to check the tracking number since most of the times it shows the total weight - since he was so convinced to have packed everything together. Maybe he had sent two several packages but one got lost or returned. But still, it's been over three months now and I barely get any answers. I really don't know what to do at this point. I was thinking about writing Leon if he might still have some spare TPs of these two records. I don't really care much about my own records anymore but the other batch was meant as a birthday present for my dad - and Leon even did a quick doodle on the Wildflower TP...Ah thats awful, those TP's go for a quite bit of money now as well. Ah man thats awful, really sorry to hear that. I would definitely email Leon and let him know about the situation. Even if he doesn't have any TP's, he might end up sending you something with a personalized message.Trust me, I've been trying to convince him that those records could not have been in the very same package.
