I've already been really looking forward to Chelsea Carmichael's album, but her latest single "Bone and Soil" is ramping that excitement up something fierce!

Melanie Charles has a new album out on the 22nd. I can't wait for that one.
Oh amazing I didnt know she had an album coming out, is there a pre-order link anywhere?
I have seen Chelsea live quite a few times now as part of SEED-Ensemble, Joe Armon-Jones' group, Theon Cross' group, etc and she really does play fantastically.
On a side note, a few weeks ago I went to the 'Cross The Tracks' festival and saw afterwards that SEED-Ensemble were playing, despite me not seeing them on the line up (they actually clashed with another act I was wanting to see so no issues). I went back to it and they were listed as 'Seed'. I wonder if they have dropped the 'Ensemble' or if the festival just printed it incorrectly.
This is pretty cool. And you can get an autographed copy:
Over 60 releases and 44 years into his career as a jazz drummer and composer, William Hooker has made (arguably) his best album yet during the pandemic in 2020, a follow up to his critically acclaimed 2019 work Symphonie of Flowers. Clocking in at 83 minutes in total (depending on the format youāre listening to), Big Moon is as expansive as it is groundbreaking. The vinyl release, a double LP, comes housed in a gatefold jacket features poetry from William Hooker. All formats include a digital download when purchased from our website. Limited edition autographed vinyl and CDs are available while supplies last! CD and digital formats are out now, with vinyl coming on December 17th. Order your copy here.

Yeah, I guess this is selling purely on hype. The FP/Sanders/Orchestra combo sounds really interesting to be honest. This screams 21st century spiritual jazz, and I'm all for it.
Michael Fremer says both the music and pressing are very good:
Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders & The London Symphony Orchestra LP Drops March 26th
The press release announcing this record out March 26th on Luaka Bop is more coy and less informative, though that will probably change closer to the release date. However, I have a test pressing sent by a friend. Chris Bellman cut lacquers, RTI pressed, I don't care the source, it sounds great...www.analogplanet.com
I love this record - It is quite literally one of my most cherished discoveries of the past year or so. I picked up a copy on vinyl months ago, after an extended meander down a Bandcamp rabbit hole. Transcendent is a word that definitely resonates for me. Would have been fun to be in the room for this one.Hey guys, just another shout out for this album , well worth a listen, The US Vinyl is cut by Kev G and pressed at RTI, it really is a special album, you can listen on Bc on this review that I've included. The Only downside to the vinyl is that it interrupt's the flow as this is a continuous 74 minute track, This is Sort of like a more up tempo In A Silent Way. . . maybe. As one reviewer summed up. . transcendental, fascinating and timeless .

It's not confirmed but I believe so. I asked John at JIB if there would be a vinyl release of the Splinter's set and he said there were no plans for it but that they did have a Tubby Hayes vinyl release coming soon, so I assume that is this.Do you know if this is getting a vinyl release? I have the Tubby box which is great, but haven't gotten round to picking up live at the Hopbine '68 on Gearbox. So many records to choose from.
is this one worth a purchase?

Says Dec 16-18 so I wonder if they did repress it?FWIW, Lee Morgan Live at the Lighthouse box set is listed as "in stock soon" on Amazon, and available to order at $252.70 (showing a delivery window of November 23-29 for me). It's probably a mistake and won't be fulfilled, but no real harm in placing the order if you really want it.
