July 2019 Vinyl Challenge

Off-topic, I know, but you taught the entire family? That's awesome.
haha almost the entire family, I taught the two kids and the mom (English), and the dad we worked on some programming projects together. When I went to Japan and visited them in Nagasaki they even showed me around the city and treated me to a Kaiseki. Amazing people, I look forward to seeing them again when I go back in a couple months.

Day 9 - Triple

It took me a looooong time to get onboard the Colemine train. I usually don’t like modern music that’s too on the nose retro but the Black Pumas album was a gateway drug for me and I’ve been picking up their major releases. This triple album is my newest acquisition.

This is the 7” that came with DJ Koze - Knock Knock.

Day 8 - I don’t like Mondays (Tuesdays)

Today is sort of like the Monday that separates my weekend—I have Monday and Wednesday off. So I need something to just get me through this day. This awesome album from early March this year will be a great start.

So I’ll go with my other obsession, the WCGD:

Ryan Porter - the Optimist

Featuring Kamasi, Miles Mosley, Cameron Graves, Brandon Coleman, and Tony Austin.

Much of this was recorded in the same sessions that produced and others that predate The Epic. It’s a band figuring it out.
