Day 9: Indiana Pacers
Play an album from an artist from Indiana or that has an interesting or unique pace to it.

You probably gotta be an old-timer like myself to know, but Roger Brown was an all-time great Pacer and in the Hall Of Fame. He did it all in the ABA, and that's why Reggie Miller calls Roger Brown the greatest player never to play in the NBA.

And hailing from Brown County, Indiana (he's got a tattoo with the state of Indiana and the Brown County star on his right bicep to prove it). Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band...

John Cougar Mellencamp - Scarecrow

When I think of Indiana music a few artist jump out at me but the only one that genuinely loved Indiana enough to stay in the state after making it big was Johnny Cougar Mellencamp. Dude still lives in Bloomington, IN to this day.

The Bulls spent close to a decade being the dominant force in Basketball, during that time they developed a good amount of rivalries. At the beginning of their run there was The Pistons, then (my personal favorite rivalry) The Knicks, a small but heated rivalry with the Penny/Shaq led Magic and then, towards the end of their run, that rivalry shifted to The Pacers. With Mark Jackson, “The Flying Dutchman” Rick Smits, The Davis brothers, and most importantly Reggie Miller, those mid-to-late 90s playoff series were always epic. Even still, when I think of The Pacers, I think of Reggie, and when I think of Reggie I think of this…

Day 7: Cleveland Cavaliers

I saw that Devo was played for this day, but I'm going there anyway.

More Devo is never a bad thing!

This looks super cool.

Day 9 - Indiana Pacers

Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers Buhaina's Delight

I don't have any Freddie Hubbard-as-leader albums on vinyl as of yet, but the trumpeter from Indianapolis features in this Jazz Messengers' lineup. If I cheated and listened to a CD, Red Clay would be the pick.
