My understanding is it’s in the master.I've always wondered if that's because of the way/place it was recorded.
I believe that’s what @HiFi Guy said. I know the vinyl of the deluxe remix sucked a while back, but I actually fell in love with the album all over again with the digital of that. People were as mixed on that as they were Songs from Big Pink last year. I actually teared up during my first listen of the Pink remix. You might have already heard this at some point, but try to track down an original US Monarch or Canadian "Kinney Music" pressing, even if it's just VG condition. I have the Canadian one, it's an absolute revelation.
Love this band so much! Saw Erika Wennerstrom on her solo tour a few months ago when she came through town.I am sooooo behind, but I guess I'll start anyway.
Day 1 - Who Are You?
Welcome to the June challenge! Play a record from your go-to genre
My go-to genre is one I call "Vaguely Twangy." Not strictly country or Americana, though those definitely fall into the category, but that twang might be the guitar tone, a vocal quality, a banjo, a mandolin, or none of those things and just strike me a way. But Heartless Bastards are one of my favorite bands and I think it's Erika Wennerstrom's voice that really lands them in my made-up genre.
