Let's See What Makes Your Vinyl Spin!

All of this makes my vinyl spin, as well as my head. The expansion project nears it's final stages. And to the question "how big of a collection do you need?" This is it, this is max capacity, with purges as needed. A line had to be drawn
😉

Side note, all Kallax units are not created equal

I meant you have plenty of space for those mono rekerds now 😉

Adjusting bias on the main tube amp and had to come through with the duster.
I don't know but dust cover off TT while spinning seems like a great intangible sound improvement.
Probably BS.... It feels good like a drop top.

I found it to be true removing the dust cover from the 'table improves the sound, when I was making R2R tapes for a few bars way back when. A more open sound, if you will.

Ok

Dust cover fully down while spinning.
That's tonearm pandemonium.
We should stream this instead...

Dust cover tilted up.
I'm not committed but we're only spinning a few records anyway.
Convenient and it's GZ MRP shit anyway.

Dust cover off.
This is some Vinyl Richie.
Like bass traps and stuff.

I have an orbit, but the way I installed my shelf requires that I take the cover off every time.

Hey! How are you and yours doing? We were worried a couple weeks ago!!!
We got so lucky. I'm actually just south of Asheville. A piece of our fence came down, was honestly probably on its way out anyway, and unbelievably thats it. No power for a week and sporadic internet for about 2.5 weeks, but we're a ok, and our water has been fine for a while now too - we're on a different water system from Asheville. All my friends down here are just fine and accounted for. Worst of it was one of my friends' house had 3 trees come down on it, but it's all fixable, and all that matters is they're alright.

Parts of the city are gone. Much needs to be rebuilt. Won't be the same moving forward, for better or worse, but it's been an amazing community effort to put one foot in front of the other.

EAT looks cool, @AnthonyI! I may have missed a detailed post on it in another thread as I'm a very sporadic visitor these days (hey everybody, think of the board often!) but are the arm and motor Pro-Ject I assume?
From everything I was able to find out they share a few components, the sub platter bearing assembly and dust cover hinges. It's manufactured at the Pro-Ject factory, but outside of that, it's its own design and engineering using "better" materials/components.

It's a really nice turntable to be honest, it's very different than the 1210G, but I see the appeal and it "feels" like a quality piece of kit. All that said, it sounds fantastic and the heavy platter is really nice and the tonearm assembly is pretty solid, the tonearm rest/support, is a little sus, but I can live with it ;)
