Axis was always my Hendrix of choice for augmented listening. Though I did have a very intense night with the Woodstock album.

I've got some catching up to do, and while listening to this album and catching up over here I realized this was actually perfect for this prompt. I hadn't listened to Bob Dylan Blues in a long time and it really hit harder for me this time than I remember it ever doing before. This really is a treat of a comp.

The National are a band that I always imagine soundtracking a lonely contemplative moment, probably involving a wistful stare, a loosened tie, and some heavy ice cubes clinking around a tumbler containing a half drank high end scotch in one hand and a lit American Spirit in the other.
