Day 15: The Ides of March

Styx - Kilroy Was Here

The brainchild of frontman Dennis DeYoung that none of the rest of the band liked, then or now. There’d been creative differences within the band for awhile but this album combined with the tour for it would be what finally did them in (the first time).

March 18: That new record smell. Play a recently opened album.

Was thinking I'd wait for some new arrivals, but @ranbalam scooped me on one of them. :) the others' tracking looks like Monday at the earliest, so here's one that came a few weeks ago. In fact I ordered it the same time as Insomniac 25 anniversary edition, which should arrive next week.

Green Day - Father Of All...

It could also be a pretty record, but I have others that are just as nice.

March 19: I'm Feeling Pretty today...Play a record with the prettiest, coolest, most interesting color combination.

I was considering this one for "impress LeeVing day," but I know he has this one already. I sometimes get random discogers asking if I want to sell it. Besides the great music, I can't imagine why ;)

I do really like the pinwheel effect. In this case it goes really well with the band Sea At Last, because it looks like a propeller for a boat motor.

I have yet to be asked to sell anything. I do occasionally get asked to email high rez scans or high rez rips. I delete those emails pretty quick and just ignore them.

I think it was your post on the original "I"m Feeling Pretty" day that made me buy a copy. I remember buying the other flesh variant but getting this pinwheel version. The one time I got send the wrong record from a Discogs seller that worked in my favor.

I think because when clicking on the "ratings" or "have" section, it lists users in alphabetical order. Mine user name is towards the top of the list most of the time.

This was sealed so would've been a good choice for yesterday. I'm growing increasingly fond of colorways with a controlled splatter technique where the splatter is fairly substantial and causes a cool effect while on the table. The recent 6131 Julien Baker was like that, and this one has been in my collection for a while unopened. Seems as good a reason as any to give it a spin today especially as the title and color are intertwined

I don’t really care too much about colored vinyl, but I think this pressing looks pretty nice. Really compliments the album cover too. Picked it up at their merch table when I saw them live.
