March 3: World Wildlife Day - Play something that refers to non-domesticated animals.

Beach House - Teen Dream

Opens with the track "Zebra" (and has the zebra pattern on the cover).

March 01: It's Monday. Play something to get you excited for the week
Prince - Originals

This is a great set. Prince wrote so many hits for other artists it feels like a perfect covers album even though he wrote all the songs. My main reason for playing it is for his version of “Manic Monday”, I think I still prefer The Bangles version overall (my mom was a big Bangles fan) but Prince’s version is still top notch. Also, my work week consists of 4 ten hour days Wednesday through Saturday so Today is my “Monday” if you’re one of those people that ascribed to the notion that first work day is your “Monday”.

Literally almost grabbed this exact same album for my Day 1 post. But something made me grab Sign O’ The Times instead though.

Day 1 : It's Monday. Play something to get you excited for the week.

No real cleverness here at all, Prince is just an absolute amazing way to start out your week...and it’s been a little bit since I have spun this great album.

March 1: It's Monday.

My "Monday's" are usually Sunday nights...and driving to work I usually have to pump myself up a bit to get through the 12 hour shift. It has been a bit easier lately as COVID numbers decrease.

Thanks for saving us from the original/alternate artwork. I kinda want to pick up the Revolver reissue just because it has the skull drill art restored.

March 2: It might be cool outside but it's about to get warm all up in my jazz. Play a Jazz album.

Jazz isn't my most favorite genre....probably isn't in the top 5, I don't go out of my way for jazz releases, but I picked this one up years ago at a thrift store. Seemed like a good mix of artists to listen to.

Yeah. I was thinking about getting that one, too. Better art and probably a better/non-Rainbo pressing.

This one is spread over 2 LP's and I don't see if the Revolver reissue is or not - they aren't very specific in the listing, but it doesn't look like it is.

But I just ordered it anyway

Yeah, I am wondering if they are gonna do a standard reissue. Reading the write up on Revolver it seems like they might be.

Day 4 - surprise

Aretha Franklin - Young, Gifted and Black

I was going to play another fresh grab that surprised me negatively (McCoy Tyner's Asante as I'm not a fan of vocals on jazz, which dominate side A). But after spinning this, I have to put this down as something that surprised me positively. This record sounds so great (Kevin Gray with ajother great job). But I can also add something negative as well - I hate the vinyl colour. I'm not a huge fan of coloured vinyl (although I have my fair share of it) but it seems particularly gratuitous here.

March 3: World Wildlife Day

While goats are domesticated a bit, they're not exactly pets like dogs and cats. So I use this chance to play the great new album by Goat Girl, which is fittingly entitled "On all fours".

The google definition of Domesticated is stated as "tame and kept as a pet or on a farm", so I think you're in the clear. I have been on many farms with goats. Of course, now that I've looked it up, I realize I've missed my opportunity to play I.C.P.'s One For The Maggots, since people farm them for medical purposes. Oh what could have been. I'll have to sneak some Ringmaster in somewhere this month. :ROFLMAO:

March 4: Play something that surprised you. Either you really liked it or really hated it.

Taylor Swift - Folklore

Everything about this album surprised me. The album drop itself was a surprise, the stripped down production and indie/folk feel, and how much it grew on me after the first listen.
