Was gonna go Stooges or MC5, but this is quite a cool autograph. Also, pretty sure this band's music influenced that Detroit scene.

The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat

Tito Puente - Homenaje A Beny Vol. 2

Well, it's a name-dropping album, but that's close enough. This record is dedicated to the legendary Cuban singer, bandleader and songwriter, Beny Moré. I got it because the roster of contributors is bananas: Celia Cruz, Cheo Feliciano, Hector Lavoe, Ismael Miranda, and Pete "Conde" Rodriguez, to name a few. Also, the cover art has Beny playing a tres Cubano guitar in the sky, THAT'S BALLER!

The Modern Lovers The Modern Lovers (1976 Beserkley; 2015 reissue)
Well some people try to pick up girls
And get called assholes
This never happened to Pablo Picasso
He could walk down your street
And girls could not resist his stare and
So Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole

Day 7 - I’m Waiting for the Man

David recorded many covers over the years. Some to help a friend (Iggy Pop) and some because he loved the songs (Velvet Underground)

DU BLONDE HOMECOMING (2021 Daemon TV Records)
A very fun rock record that reminds me a bit of the Ex Hex. Features a duet with Shirley Manson of Garbage among other things. Purchased signed from the artist's website.

When I think of Detroit music I think Motown. And when I think of Motown I think of Marvin Gaye.

This album sounds better all these years later when you don’t have other people screaming “OVERHYPED” over the whole record. They were nice, very appreciative guys back then

When Desire hit local radio in 1980, 11 year me could not get enough of that song.
These guys were Detroit radio staples but never really got too much further. They did a great cover of Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well, and this album has a decent cover of Lou Reed's Sally Can't Dance.

I have a hunch @Yer Ol' Uncle D knows of these guys.
