It used to be in the so bad it's good category. I saw it in theaters even. But I haven't watched it in over a decade. I don't know if I could see it as anything but bad now, but I love Forest Whitaker and will watch him in anything.

I was so annoyed that they bowdlerized the story from being specifically judas-priest-and-ripper-owens to "generic famous band and talented singer in a tribute band to the generic famous band".
