Yea but why? I have no reference for this Walker guy other than looking him up on Wiki.
oh my god you immediately need to listen to his post-walker-brothers material, specifically The Drift (and possibly the others in the trilogy: Tilt, The Drift and Bish Bosch). It is fucking harrowing and sometimes unsettling. His Walker Bros stuff was held in high esteem in the 60s but he really made his name being weird but very much excellent and very singularly himself after his "comeback".Yea but why? Here's a very short BBC documentary from 1995 around the time of Tilt
Here's David Bowie stunned into silence and calling Scott "my idol since I was a kid" when Scott Walker called to wish him a happy birthday on BBC radio:
Oh I like this:
(making my way through the RS list)
You like that, check this out…
It’s like a Norwegian Death Metal crossed with Van Halen.
What happened when you listened to Gillian Welch?Hell yeah, I love that track! Not the biggest fan of Death Metal but Kvelertak has reeled me in a few times over the years.
I thought Meir was a Baroness album for years because of the album art which was done by John Baizley (Baroness) who's also a pretty amazing artist on the side.

I'm hoping you know that was a reference to her The Harrow & The Harvest album cover, by Baizley.Honestly, I could use a good sail down Welch river.. I believe i've liked/loved every single thing i've heard from her over the years that I stumbled across yet I don't actually own any of her physical albums. I was def. ignorant to most Country/Folk for far too long so I need to go back and really listen to her earlier stuff especially. I will say All The Good Times has been in steady rotation since 2020 so that's a start.
To answer your question though i'm guessing I was 12-15 the first time I heard her so there's a good chance I was eating some Pizza Rolls mayyyybe even Bagel Bites (w/ Ranch ofc) along with a deliciously nostalgic Ecto Cooler Hi C! So some deliciousness happened i'm sure but I have no idea beyond that

I have it and think it probably sounds as good as it can on vinyl. MOV did a decent job given the troubles a lot of recordings from that era have. The drumming hits hard.Hey, how's the MOV of White Zombie's La Sexorcisto? I've been listening to that this week because of the metal list and I've been impressed with the drums. So of course, now I want in on vinyl.
